The Sacred Baobab tree is known as the "Tree of Life" in many countries on the African continent. Born in Zimbabwe I recently had the chance to visit my birth country after 26 years and was filled with joy when I saw this magickal tree again. The baobab tree is a cornerstone of Zimbabwean culture and brings not only food, water, shelter and medicinal resources, it is deeply connected to African spirituality and folklore. The tree's resilience and longevity make it a beautiful symbol of life and strength for all beings. Today I felt called to guide a grounding journey with this mystical tree. I invite you to get as comfortable as possible, seated or laying down. Gently closing your eyes eyes, ideally covered with an eye pillow or shawl. May you enjoy this journey. Welcome beautiful soul to this grounding meditation.

My name is Kim Rua and I'm really honored and excited to take you on this grounding journey with the Peobab tree or the Mu Uyu tree as they would say in Shona in Zimbabwe.

I was born in Zimbabwe and recently had the opportunity to travel back to these sacred lands after not having been there for 26 years.

I reconnected with the Peobab trees in the Victoria Falls area and was just blown away by their beauty,

Their size and their incredibly ancient energy.

As I record this meditation I'm holding one of the fruits that I brought home and I ask the energy,

The spirit of this tree to channel right through me bringing the exact right words for you in this moment.

The Peobab tree is of incredible importance to the local communities and the animals as they bring food,

Water,

Shelter,

Medicinal resources and on a spiritual level these trees are considered sacred sites and so many of their ceremonies,

Gatherings and rituals are held in and around these trees.

They call the tree the tree of life connecting us to the heavenly and the earthly energies and it's known or its symbol is that of longevity of resilience and strength and they become three thousand plus years old so I thought it would be the perfect tree to take us into a grounding ritual today.

I invite you to start getting ready and even more comfortable in a seated or laying down position and to make sure that you're warm or cold enough adjusting anything you need before we start our journey.

Starting to close your eyes perhaps covering your eyes with an eye mask or a shawl and removing any distractions from your space.

Bring your awareness to your body to the surfaces underneath you and to your belly softening your breath into your belly deepening your breath a little bit more than usual breathing in peace love harmony breathing out anything that no longer serves you releasing any stress anxiety dis-ease and creating space for light for love for joy taking a couple of these deep breaths at your own pace and softening relaxing becoming present to your own body from the bottom of your spine from your root chakra we're going to imagine a beautiful root that starts to grow passing through our chair our bed our mat right into the floorboards and into the soil on which our space stands and this root goes deep enough to connect with the root system of the trees in our surroundings and with that we connect to the energy lines to the ley lines that cross the entire span of the earth it's a consciousness through which we can connect with the baobab trees so through these kilometers of root systems we're going to transport ourselves to victoria falls in zimbabwe to the zambesi national park where some incredible baobab trees are located so your soul your consciousness your awareness going to is going to travel there now just follow my words even if you're not such a visit visual person allow myself to guide you and be open to whatever happens within seconds we find ourselves on the sacred zimbabwean lands in the zambesi national park and you walk around with me by your side until you connect with one of the incredible baobab trees there on the land you'll know your heart will tell you which tree is your meditation buddy today you walk up to the tree place your hand on the trunk and with a whisper of your heart you ask for permission to sit down there and embrace its energy you listen for a yes or a no and once you have a yes you sit down with your feet flat on the ground your knees slightly bent and your spine connected to the trunk of this incredible tree it is sunrise and the birds start to chirp and share their songs and i sit down next to you yet on the opposite side of the tree so you have full privacy i start to play my drum to help you open up your mind and enter into somewhat of a soft trance state you breathe a couple of times and feel the soft yet textured trunk of the tree kissing your skin kissing your spine and just for a moment you open your eyes and look up and see how the tree stretches meters and meters above you the sun starting to show itself at the horizon with your feet firmly connected to the soil you visualize the root coming down from your spine again and that root wraps itself around the roots of the baobab tree you immediately feel the essence of the tree this ancient wisdom flowing down through your spine and starting to enter every cell of your being so your heart flutters open and a sense of love a deep love that you have never felt before reaches you from the heart of the tree into your heart like a grandmother or grandfather this tree starts to speak to you whispering its words of love of gratitude for you taking this time to connect today any heaviness any burdens just flow down grandmother grandfather tree inviting you to just let it go let it flow into the roots into the earth where it will be composted and its fertile soil will flow all the way back up to create beautiful fruits and sparkly green leaves for the locals to enjoy you become heavier and heavier and more relaxed with every breath you feel a sense of surrender flooding your being perhaps there's something you wish to ask the tree or gift it so allow your heart to whisper whatever it wishes to to the tree right now you feel calm you feel harmonious and the love that you receive from the baobab tree is reciprocate you feel a flood of love entering your spine and traveling all the way up to the branches to the trees to the very furthest tips of the tree and immediately a wave of gratitude comes back it's this giving and receiving that's happening that's waving weaving through your being it's as if you're being rejuvenated and recharged recharged with centuries of sunshine and water that the tree has received and that turned into branches and leaves growing tall and wide for centuries you receive all this gratitude and feel the call to slowly start going back to where you're right now with a smile on your face with a hand on your heart you whisper thank you to the tree and notice how you feel much more present much more grounded the drumming stops and you feel it's the exact right moment to go back your consciousness travels back down through the roots through the energy lines to the space the physical space you're in and you start noticing your physical body your hands your heart the beating in your chest the rhythm of your breath and you just notice once more if there's a difference in how you sense and feel your body right now expanding your breath once more and then slowly starting to wiggle your toes your fingers and noticing any sounds around you coming back to this present moment in your own time flickering your eyes open or staying with your eyes closed for some minutes more thank you sacred baobab trees for your grounding frequencies I wish you a beautiful day and invite you to drink plenty of water and nourishing meals have a gorgeous day thank you so much until we meet again
