Welcome to day 24 of Insight Timer's intention setting challenge.
Setting an intention is making a decision about who you want to be and how you choose to show up.
Over time,
Those choices become change.
Let's begin.
Warm greetings.
My name is Layla Delia and this is a mini stillness practice.
Meant to be a quick and short practice in a quiet place that allows you to rise above the daily waves of life.
Close your eyes and focus inward on your breathing.
For 6 seconds,
Gently inhale slowly through your nose,
Feeling your belly expand.
And for 6 seconds,
Gently exhale slowly through your mouth.
And continue this breathing pattern a few times.
In this practice,
By slowing your breath and engaging with your diaphragm,
You increase oxygen flow,
Decrease cortisol,
Lower your heart rate,
And quiet your brain's emotional,
Chatter,
Fear,
And reactive center.
This is stillness.
To help bring this energy deeper into your day,
Let's take a few moments here to visualize yourself in this deep state of liberation.
Visualize yourself in a posture of stillness,
Grace,
Inner security,
And confidence.
Seeing it and feeling it.
Stillness,
Grace,
Inner security,
And confidence.
Throughout your body,
Your mind,
And your energy field.
Good.
To carry this practice with you,
Allowing for a deep meditative life.
Before reacting with or responding to the outer world,
Take a few moments to breathe and see from a still and silent perspective.
Allowing yourself to fully surrender to stillness and non-reactivity.
I pause before I act and let calm lead the way.
I pause before I act and let calm lead the way.
I am still.
I am still.
Bringing your awareness back to your body,
Back to the space you're in,
And feeling gratitude as you move forward connecting to your inner stillness.
I encourage you to set this intention on the Insight Timer home screen.
Today I pause before I act and let calm lead the way.
A gentle reminder that stillness isn't the absence of doing,
It's the art of choosing how to breathe softly and confidently in your body,
Energy,
And strength.
Tomorrow,
On Day 8,
You'll explore patience,
Learning to trust the pace of your life and finding calm in the waiting.
Enjoy the rest of the challenge.
Return to this practice anytime you need it.
Journey well.
