Hello sweet friend,

If you're having trouble sleeping,

Know that you're not alone and this meditation is for you.

If you aren't already,

Go ahead and find a comfy position lying on your back,

Resting the hands wherever feels good.

And then with your eyes open,

Go ahead and just glance around the room,

Noticing anything you can see,

Feeling the structure of the room you're in,

Knowing it's there to support and hold you whether you're looking at it or not.

And then go ahead and allow your eyes to softly close.

Before we begin tuning into the body,

Ask yourself,

Will I be okay if I don't get a full night of sleep?

Maybe you'll be tired,

But in reality,

Will you be okay?

By acknowledging that we will be okay no matter what,

It allows the part of us that's worried to relax.

It can soften into the knowing that we will be okay.

Good,

Now I do invite you to tell your mind thank you and that it doesn't need to solve any more problems today.

Beautiful.

Go ahead and take your awareness to your forehead.

Can you allow your forehead to soften a bit?

Then moving your attention down to your eyes,

Can you allow your eyes to really rest here?

Maybe they feel tired,

Can you just allow them to feel tired in this moment and give them the gift of resting?

Then moving your awareness down to your heart space,

That area in the middle of your chest,

And start breathing into the heart.

Maybe taking a hand to your heart just for a moment so that you can feel your heart beating beneath your palm.

Noticing that you don't have to do anything for it to beat and does it all on its own.

And continue moving your awareness down to the belly.

Can you soften your belly a little more as you breathe deep into the belly?

Breathing deep into this area helps the mind and body relax.

So take slow,

Generous breaths down into the belly.

And now move your awareness all the way down to your feet,

Feeling the backs of your feet on the bed.

And let this connection between your feet and what's beneath you help you feel grounded.

You can even imagine that there's a loving grounding energy connected from your feet all the way into the center of the earth.

This connection allows the earth to take any mental chatter,

Any worries,

Any stress or tension from you very gently and easily so that you can fall asleep and rest throughout the night.

Take a moment to just feel your whole body supported by your bed.

It's there to hold you while you sleep.

You don't have to do anything but rest.

Rest is your birthright,

It is easy and gentle for you now.

So gently whisper inside your head or even out loud,

I am ready for sleep.

I allow my mind to rest.

I allow my body to rest.

I allow myself to fall asleep now with ease.

Sleep is easy for me now.

And with that,

Allow yourself to gently drift off into a peaceful,

Restful night of sleep.

Sweet dreams.
