Welcome,

Come to a comfortable seated position where you can allow your spine to be tall but not tense.

Close your eyes and begin to tune into your breathing.

Feel the gentle expansion and contraction in the chest and the lower belly as you gently breathe in and out.

Remind yourself that right now there's nothing to do and nowhere to go.

Nothing is required of you right now other than to just be.

Relax your eyebrows,

Relax your jaw and allow your shoulder blades to melt down the upper back.

Breathe.

Bring your attention to your sit bones.

Feel the weight of your body on the surface beneath you and allow yourself to melt further down with each exhale.

Tune into the area in your pelvis just below the navel.

Begin to imagine a warm glowing light here and allow it to grow and magnify with each breath.

Now begin to imagine branches like the branches of a tree extending from this light in your pelvis.

Feel the branches move across the hips,

Down through the thighs and pass over the knees.

Allow the branches to extend down through the lower legs and feel them pass over the ankles and feet.

Feel the branches moving downward from the soles of the feet and extending down into the earth beneath you.

Tune into a grounding,

Anchored feeling as the branches continue to move down and take root in the centre of the earth.

Breathe into this sensation and give yourself permission to release anything that doesn't serve you,

Allowing the earth to hold it for you.

Now take a moment of silence to enjoy this grounding experience.

Repeat silently to yourself,

I am safe,

I am grounded,

I am at peace.

Begin to slowly bring your attention back to the room and tune into the breath.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.
