Hi,

I'm Lori and welcome to this guided gassho meditation.

Gassho literally means two hands coming together.

In gassho you sit cross legged on the floor or upright in a chair with your feet flat on the floor in the prayer position focusing pressure of the two middle fingers coming together at the tips.

But for right now I just want you to find your comfortable position whether it's on the floor or in a chair.

And when you're there just take a nice big breath in.

Another nice big breath in and when you exhale relax your legs,

Your thighs,

Your hamstrings,

Your calves,

Your ankles,

Roll your feet,

Squish your toes and release.

Just let your entire lower limbs relax.

On your next exhale I want you to relax your hips,

Your lower back and down into the relaxation of your thighs and your hamstrings.

Then relax your spine.

If you want to wiggle it out,

Wiggle it out if you need to readjust.

And crunch your shoulders up around your ears and hold them there for a few seconds and then just release on the exhale.

Allow the tension to just start melting away.

Roll your shoulders,

Stretch them out a little bit,

Relax your arms,

Your biceps,

Your triceps,

Your forearms.

Make a fist and then relax your fingers.

Roll your neck a little bit,

Relax your face,

Wiggle your jaw left and right,

Release any tension,

Stress in your jaw.

Good.

Now take one more deep breath in.

Put your hands in the prayer position a few inches away from your heart center.

Raise your elbows if you can,

If not just relax your elbows and put a little bit of gentle pressure on the tips of your middle fingers and just bring your attention there.

Nice deep,

Slow,

Relaxing breath.

Just for today I will not worry.

So just for today I will trust.

I will accept.

I will believe and I will know that everything in my life is unfolding exactly as it is meant to unfold for my highest and greatest good.

So trust,

Accept,

Believe and know so you don't worry.

Just for today I will not be angry.

So just for today I will seek to understand before seeking to be understood.

I will love.

I will accept.

I will learn the lessons because I know everything in my life is unfolding exactly as it is meant to unfold for my highest and greatest good.

So seek to understand,

Love,

Accept and learn so you won't be angry.

Just for today I will do my work honestly.

So just for today I will be true to myself and others.

I will do what I know is right.

I will speak my truth.

I will work with integrity so that I may continue to learn and grow for my highest and greatest good.

So be true,

Speak your truth and have integrity.

Just for today I will be grateful for my many blessings.

So just for today I will be thankful that I am alive.

I will be content with the food in my stomach and the roof over my head.

I will appreciate the value of family and friends in my life.

I will be open and grateful for the many lessons I receive.

So be thankful,

Be content and be grateful.

Just for today I will be compassionate to all living things.

So just for today I will be kind to animals.

I will smile and say hello to strangers.

I will offer to help someone in need.

I will be considerate of other people's feelings.

So I may send love into the world knowing that I am making it a better place for those I encounter in my day.

So be kind,

Smile,

Help,

Be considerate,

Shine your light and spread your love.

So as we come to the end of the gassho meditation,

What resonated with you?

Is there one principle that you could work on today?

Fill your heart with love.

Have a wonderful,

Wonderful day.

Namaste,

Lori.
