During this guided practice, we first identify and visualize each of the 7 main chakras of the body. Then we will guide the breath upward through each chakra and out the crown of the head. This will energize the body and help clear any blockages in the chakras that may be present. This practice is suitable for practitioners of any experience level. Includes some background music.

Hi and welcome to this guided meditation.

My name is Lauren and I am so pleased to have you today.

Thank you for meditating with me.

This is a meditation called Breathing to the Chakras.

This is a powerful meditation for moving energy through the body and clearing any blocked energy that may be present using our visualization and the breath.

Let's start by sitting comfortably with the back upright.

You can have the hands in the lap with the palms facing upward.

Settle and relax.

Notice any tension in the face,

In the jaw,

In the shoulders.

First we will locate each of the main seven chakras in the body.

Then we will bring energy into the body using the breath and move it through the chakras.

These seven main energy centers run up the meridian,

The center line of the body.

I'll go through the chakras one by one and with your mind's eye see if you can visualize each chakra.

The first chakra known as the root chakra rests at the perineum at the base of the spine.

The second chakra,

The sacral chakra,

Is located in the pelvis near the sacrum.

The third chakra,

The solar plexus chakra,

Sits over the stomach and under the diaphragm.

The fourth chakra,

The heart chakra,

Is located in the center line of the body near the heart.

The fifth chakra,

The throat chakra,

Covers the area of the external and internal throat in the front at the base of the neck and at the back the spine at the base of the skull.

The sixth chakra known as the brow chakra or third eye chakra is located just above in between the two eyebrows on the forehead over the bridge of the nose.

And the seventh chakra is the crown chakra and it's located at the top of the head or the crown of the head.

The first chakra connects us to the earth.

The seventh chakra connects us to the universe.

It's important that we sit upright with the spine aligned,

Stacking all seven chakras so the energy can flow freely through the body.

Our first chakra,

Rooted to the earth,

The seat,

The cushion,

And the seventh chakra drawn to the sky.

Tuck the chin slightly as we find ourselves nice and aligned,

Connected.

If you haven't already,

Close the eyes.

We will put our attention on each point,

Draw our breath in through the chakra and out the crown of the head,

Moving our attention up the body to the next chakra with each breath.

Let's begin.

Let's direct our attention to the first chakra at the base of the spine.

As we breathe in,

Imagine drawing the breath in through the chakra and up the center line of the body out the crown of the head.

Breathe in and out the crown of the head.

Bring attention to the second chakra near the sacrum.

Breathe into the chakra and out the crown of the head.

Bring attention to the third chakra,

The solar plexus above the belly below the diaphragm.

Breathe in and breathe out the crown of the head.

Bring attention to the fourth chakra,

The heart chakra.

Breathe in and out the crown of the head.

Direct attention to the fifth chakra,

The throat chakra.

Breathe into the chakra and out the crown of the head.

Bring attention to the sixth chakra between the eyebrows.

Breathe into the chakra and out the crown of the head.

Bring attention to the seventh chakra,

The crown of the head.

Breathe in and out the crown of the head.

Again,

Let's breathe into the base of the spine and out the crown of the head.

Breathe into the second chakra at the sacrum and out the crown of the head.

Breathe into the third chakra,

The solar plexus and out.

Breathe into the heart chakra and out the crown of the head.

Breathe into the throat chakra and out the crown of the head.

Breathe into the brow chakra and out.

Breathe into the crown of the head and out the crown of the head.

All right,

Now breathe normally.

Nice and simple,

Nice and easy.

We'll breathe in and out with the mind's attention at the different points.

We start at the base of the spine,

Then move up to each chakra,

Moving the energy up through the body and out the crown of the head.

At the end of the sequence,

We simply start again at the base of the spine,

Moving the rising energy through the body and repeating the sequence.

I will guide you again and then we'll practice in silence for a few minutes until I gently guide you out.

Sitting comfortably,

Back upright,

Hands in the lap,

Palms facing upward.

Let's breathe into the first chakra at the base of the spine and breathe out the crown of the head.

Breathe into the second chakra,

The sacral chakra and out.

Breathe into the solar plexus chakra and out the crown of the head.

Breathe into the heart chakra and breathe out.

Breathe into the throat chakra and out the crown of the head.

Breathe into the brow chakra and out the crown of the head.

Breathe into the seventh chakra at the crown of the head and breathe out.

Now repeat the sequence starting from the base of the spine.

Continue breathing through each chakra until I gently guide you out.

And now at the end of your next sequence,

Breathe normally.

Allow the body to settle.

Allow the energy to settle.

Breathe easy.

Notice the energy in the body.

Breathe easy.

And now in your own time,

Whenever you feel ready,

You may slowly and gently flutter the eyes open as you come out of your meditation.

Notice if you felt any tension,

Tenderness,

Or bunching of energy during the meditation.

It's okay and it's normal to feel that.

The energy should flow more smoothly now.

This meditation,

Breathing through the chakras,

Allows the breath to release any blockages of energy through the body by moving the energy and cleansing any blocked chakras that may be present.

Now we can go throughout our day feeling more energized.

Thank you again for practicing with me today.

Have a great rest of your day.

Namaste.
