Go ahead and close down your eyes.
And for the listeners,
If you are driving or walking,
Please keep your eyes open.
But for this portion,
I'm just going to have everyone start to tune into this current moment wherever you land.
And we'll take one deep inhalation together through the nostrils,
Really filling up the crevices of the lungs and exhaling through the mouth with an audible sigh,
Letting something go from the day,
From the week that you've had.
And sealing the lips and starting to trace the breath in through the nostrils and back out through the nostrils.
Maybe you notice the warmth or the cool in the air that travels in through your nostrils and how it changes as it travels back out.
And with each breath,
You start to notice your body relax more and more from the crown of the head all the way down to the earth or to your seat,
Rooting down with each breath.
And whatever thoughts that come into your mind,
Not holding onto them or marinating in them,
But simply letting them pass in whatever way you see fit,
Whether that's visualizing them as leaves on a tree falling gently down,
Much like your energy moving from the crown of your head all the way down,
Floating,
Floating,
Floating to the earth,
Riding that breath in through the nose and out through the nose,
Becoming more and more relaxed,
More and more connected to your body and the space between your body and the room or the air that you take up.
And much like the leaves on a tree fall to the earth and then start to erode and become plant matter and then turn into soil and then nourish the roots of the tree once more,
Start to notice how our thoughts can evolve from something that might be worrisome or anxious or troubling us into something that changes our perspective and nourishes us instead.
And just feel the cyclical nature of that as each thought arises,
Allow it to fall and transcend into soil,
Into something that helps create new life and new beginnings.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Maybe we notice how our body has now shifted.
Maybe we had some anxious thoughts that were creating tension in our physical body.
Now taking inventory of how our body feels after a few deep breaths and just letting that feeling settle in.
On this last breath here,
Let's all take a collective inhale,
Filling up those lungs once more.
The deepest breath you've taken today,
Really expanding at the top and holding momentarily until we release that breath through the nostrils.
Nice,
A beautiful clearing and cleansing breath at the end of our practice.
And we can go ahead and flutter our eyes open if they were closed and bring ourselves back to this moment.
