Welcome to this guided meditation called Independence,
Like the 4th of July Let's begin,
Please get seated or lay down if you wish Closing your eyes,
Thank you And empty the mind,
10 seconds now Breathing into independence,
Follow your life breath into this very word Each other's born into world as individuals And when we come together,
Big history is made The uniqueness of a yearly date with a title is so strong,
So rememberable Just like the 4th of July,
Independence Day Breathe lovingly into this day journey through history and time Right now is a time for celebration One of the greatest display of fireworks for Americans is captured by 20 different camera views And looking a little deeper here myself,
How the sky is a wonderful place To allow everyone to look up at the same time and celebrate as one And as loud as they may be,
It is a sound of great happiness And the US are expected to consume somewhere between a hundred and fifty million hot dogs on Independence Day As I myself look deeper into this,
I see how it fits snugly into one hand Like a gift to each individual And appreciate the palette for all ages,
From the youngest to the very oldest And how you decorate your own choice of dressing,
A hot dog that just makes you smile Nice deep breath in now,
Way back into history In the early 1600s,
The British King began establishing colonies in America And by the 1700s,
Most of the settlements had formed into thirteen British colonies This included Connecticut,
Delaware,
Georgia,
Maryland,
Massachusetts,
New Hampshire,
New York,
New Jersey,
Virginia,
North Carolina,
Pennsylvania Rhode Island and South Carolina Breathe into your history The entire population of the United States at the time was about 2.
5 million people Which is well under 1% of what it is today And a massive number of individuals were enslaved Estimates run as high as 500,
000 and 700,
000 of the 2.
5 million that were enslaved at the time of the revolution And most women were not allowed to vote The average life expectancy of a white male at the time was about 38 years Compared to about 78 years now The most common mode of travel and the cheapest was walking People would travel by foot for extraordinary distances to get supplies or visit family or friends The lower class rarely,
If ever,
Travelled for pleasure Another popular means of travel,
Especially in the southern colonies,
Was by horseback Breathe into your history You know,
Of course,
That it was an agrarian economy,
Producing crops and farmlands And the industrial and technological revolutions were very far in the future But,
As a result,
Almost everyone was an entrepreneur But today,
About 9% of Americans own a business Breathing into your history On July the 4th,
1776,
The Declaration announced the political separation of the 13 North American colonies from Great Britain Which declared the original colonies to be free from British rule Breathing now into the power of freedom There have been 27 different versions of the official US flag That started from 1777 up to 1960 Out of the 27 different versions,
25 of them were made only to the stars on the flag Since 1818,
The number of stars on the flag,
By law,
Must always reflect the number of states in the United States With new stars added to the flag on July the 4th in the year following their admission The last was Hawaii's star,
After it was admitted in 1959 Celebrations of US Independence Day also happens abroad Including Denmark,
Norway,
Ireland and Sydney,
Australia It is also Liberation Day in Rwanda And it's Republic Day in the Philippines Let's now look deeply into the very word independence How we are individually relying on ourselves to stay motivated And the joy of shining like a star yourself Knowing you are doing and being a better person Making your own history Breathe into tonic breaks For hard work requires this human touch Breathe into public holidays That we shall always remember our history Breathe into life is about embracing change Making history with this one Breathe into reflection of your life,
How far you have come Breathe into all negative reveals its positives Breathe into motivation,
Seeing its results from hard work We all work our magic,
We are a star each of us Breathe into we learn from those around us We become our individual personalities Breathe into life is a journey of oneself and those you meet on the way Breathe into a world of stars,
We are all here to shine our light Breathe into the power of oneness That brings huge changes and shifts mountains in life Maybe at the end of each day that comes with its new date Maybe I should celebrate it as my new habit So that I focus on its motivational bits and see the rest as wisdom Our repetition and routine still needs the spark of spontaneous And the pure human energy of creativity To shine out of our souls And we must tap into fun And here we lighten our load And are more open,
For it is our hearts That should never be closed,
But open and fully immersed in life And now let's finish this meditation With putting all your love onto the word and its meaning independence Have half a minute,
Breathing your life force into your independence Nice deep breath in Let's open the eyes to the count of three One,
Two,
Three Eyes opening,
Opening bright like a star
