There are days that we are not going to feel our best.
Maybe we feel anxious or maybe a little bit insecure.
Maybe we need a boost in confidence.
This is the meditation for you.
This is the moment for you to step into your own personal power,
For you to remember who you are,
All of the amazing things about you.
Maybe you just need a sigh of relief.
So let's take that together.
Find yourself in a comfortable position,
Whatever that means for you.
And once you're comfortable,
Take a nice long,
Slow inhale in through the nose.
And on the exhale,
Close your eyes.
Now take another nice,
Long,
Slow inhale in and shrug your shoulders up to your ears,
Just building some tension there.
And then exhale out slowly through your lips,
Just releasing the pressure,
Lowering your shoulders down,
Just arriving here.
Maybe you feel a little tension in your body and you need to release it.
Let that go with each exhale.
Take a moment to just breathe here.
Take a moment to breathe and release the tension in your body.
Just find it.
And you can even forcefully blow it out with the exhale,
Letting go of whatever happened before this meditation.
There's nothing to worry about,
What's to come,
We're just forgiving what happened before.
Let's just be here,
Breathing.
Take another deep breath in,
Really breathe in,
Let the air fill your lungs and then release.
What are you feeling in this moment?
Just name it.
Just understand how you're feeling.
This isn't a judgment moment,
This is just understanding the feelings that are arising for you.
Once you have that feeling pinpointed,
Silently say,
I feel,
And choose a word that represents that feeling.
We're just naming it right now,
We're giving it a label.
Now that you have your word,
We're going to release it,
So take a nice long slow inhale in here,
And on the exhale,
Silently say,
I release,
And then your word.
Let's do that again,
Breathing in,
And on the exhale,
I release,
And let go of that feeling.
You can imagine that feeling as a color.
You can choose to see it and let it leave your body,
Out your nose,
Your mouth,
Your skin,
That feeling of insecurity or lack or less,
Whatever it is for you.
Take your time here,
Releasing whatever it is you need,
Leaving you right now.
Whatever feelings may come up,
Let them go too.
This is your time to let go,
I release.
Take an inhale in here,
And exhale out.
Now choose another color,
Your favorite color.
Start to think of all of the things you like about yourself.
Start small,
A skill you have.
Perhaps the fact that you are here meditating right now,
But allow yourself to start breathing in those beautiful things,
And breathing in that color,
Allowing it to fill you up.
If something pops in that doesn't feel right to you,
Just take a moment and exhale it out again,
And come back to that beautiful color that you love.
Come back to another thing about you,
Another memory,
Or skill,
Or situation that brings joy to you,
That reminder,
And breathe it in,
Allowing yourself to fill up with that beautiful color and these beautiful thoughts.
Simple.
And it can be the same thought over and over.
It just takes one thought as you breathe in,
And then slowly exhale out,
Allowing your body to feel lighter in this process.
Now take a nice long,
Slow inhale in here,
And exhale out slowly.
Just sit here.
Just be maybe a little lighter,
And understand that we will always have moments that we are hard on ourselves,
But we can take time to let those feelings go when they feel heavy.
We can remember the good.
We can forgive and find one thing,
Just one small thing,
And breathe that in.
And perhaps sometimes on those hard days,
Maybe it's just a flower that you see outside that makes you smile and reminds you that you love nature,
Or the fact that you woke up that day and you took a deep breath in.
Not every day will be perfect,
But each day is another chance to begin again.
And you took the time to rewrite your script,
To feel better about this day and about yourself,
And to reframe how you were feeling in this moment.
And for that,
For that,
You deserve grace.
And for that,
You deserve joy and kindness.
Now take a nice long,
Slow inhale in through the nose,
And gently start to bring yourself back to the room,
Moving in a way that feels good to you,
Moving slow here.
And when you're ready,
You can come back and open your eyes,
Being gentle with yourself,
Moving in a way that feels good to you.
