Good morning,

I'm Jennifer Cray,

Host of Your Morning Mantra.

Today's meditation is about accepting pain.

Let's begin.

Your Morning Mantra.

I can be with the grip of pain.

If it's safe to do so,

Close your eyes or lower your gaze.

Relax your eyes,

Relax your ears,

Relax your jaw,

Relax your shoulders down and bring your attention to your breath.

Drawing your breath down into your belly,

Bringing your attention to any pain in the body with the intention of observing it,

To get an understanding of it.

Where it is,

How big or small it is,

The space it takes up,

If and where it refers to.

Understand that it is telling you something meaningful,

Sending you a message.

Thank your body for bringing this to your attention.

Accept the pain for what it is,

Letting go of the fight,

The guarding,

Of the wishing it away and just allow it to be as it is.

Breathe and accept,

Breathe and understand,

Accepting that if it is like this forever,

That it would be okay,

That you would be okay when you come to your breath.

Today's mantra,

I can be with the grip of pain.

Repeat to yourself,

Either out loud or in your mind,

I can be with a grip of pain.
