Hello and welcome to this Pregnancy After Loss meditation track.

This track is designed for couples to listen to this meditation together and to share a practice that will help to connect you both,

Connect you both together,

Connect you both to your baby and to hold space.

So finding somewhere then to rest comfortably wherever you are.

This meditation track may be listened to while you are both standing or in a seated position.

Just finding somewhere that feels comfortable and acknowledging that this is only a short practice and of course this is time for the both of you to carve some space and time out and to hold space for all of what is showing up for you at the moment.

So let's begin then with a very short body scan.

So gently taking the awareness to the very top of your head and gently noticing each little area.

So noticing the sensations in your forehead,

In your eyes,

In your cheeks,

Your mouth,

Your neck,

Shoulders,

The left shoulder,

The right shoulder,

The front of your body and the back of your body,

Your arms,

Your hands,

Fingers and fingertips,

Your hips,

Thighs,

Knees,

Lower legs and your feet.

Noticing the connection between your feet and the ground.

So really getting a sense of the whole of your body resting here in this moment now,

The whole of your body.

And as you rest here in this moment notice your body breathing.

So the way that your body moves with the in-breath and the out-breath,

Expanding and subsiding.

Movements in your chest,

In your belly,

In the back of your body.

Notice how the back of your body moves as you breathe.

And just very gently following the in-breath and the out-breath.

Very gently resting your awareness on the in-breath and the out-breath.

And all of the sensations that you experience in this moment now,

In the simplicity of your breath,

In this moment now.

And anytime that your mind wanders away,

Which it definitely will,

You may be thinking about what you have done today or what you need to do next.

But as best as you can,

Just giving yourself this time,

This short amount of time to focus on the here and the now using your breath as your anchor.

Focusing on the sensations that you can feel as you breathe in and as you breathe out,

In this moment,

These sensations that are real.

In this moment here,

Together.

And as you rest here in this moment now,

I'd like to invite you to,

In your mind,

Repeat the following words.

We honour the journey that we have walked.

We honour the journey that we have walked.

The love that we have known.

And the hope that we now hold.

Together we embrace this new life with hope and with love.

Allowing these words to settle in your heart as you breathe deeply together.

Feeling the connection in your shared intention.

And I'd like to invite you now to hold in your mind the image of a very soft,

Glowing light.

And this light represents the baby that is no longer here with you.

In your mind's eye,

See this light shining between you,

Warm and gentle.

And repeating in your mind,

We carry you with us always.

Your love is woven into who we are.

And you are part of this journey now and are so deeply loved.

Breathe deep into your body,

Allowing yourself to feel all that you feel.

Allowing your emotions to flow freely,

Knowing that you're safe.

Safe together in this shared space.

Now placing your attention on this new life.

Growing inside.

And imagining that their light joins the one already between you.

Shining brightly and uniquely,

Full of possibility and hope.

Say in your mind,

We welcome you in with open hearts.

You are not here to replace anyone,

But to bring your own light into our lives.

We love you just as you are.

Imagining the warmth of these two lights existing together,

Each part of your family's story.

Giving yourself permission to rest in this connection now,

Holding space for both grief and for joy.

And now supporting one another,

Holding hands now,

Or place one hand on each other's hearts.

Whatever feels normal and natural.

You can either say these words out loud to one another,

Or repeat them silently in your mind,

Whatever feels right.

I see your strength.

I feel your love.

And I honour your journey.

We are in this together.

And I'm here for you.

Allow this moment to be a reminder of the partnership that you share,

Breathing deeply together.

And finally,

As we bring this practice to a close,

Taking three deep breaths together now.

Your past and your present,

And your future,

Are all part of your story.

You are a team,

And you can face this journey with love,

With courage,

And with hope.

Allowing your breathing to return to its normal pace and rhythm,

And gently open the eyes if the eyes are being closed.

I know that you may wish to spend a little bit of time together,

To hold each other in a warm embrace.

Know that this meditation is here for you anytime you need to connect,

Anytime you wish to partake in a meditation together.
