There are several energy centres located throughout the body, commonly known as chakras. Our seven main centres run along the spine, from the root to the crown of the head. When these energy centers are open and clear, we feel a sense of ease within ourselves and in tune with the flow of life. Yet as we move through our days, it is not uncommon for these centres to become cluttered, stagnant, or misaligned. In this gentle guided meditation, you’ll be led through a visualization to realign your chakras. You’ll tune in to each energy center and what it needs to return to wholeness, and then allow this light to unfold before you to illuminate your path. Take this moment to breathe and reconnect with your energy. It’s time to remember just how powerful you are.

Hello and welcome to this space.

My name is Maya and I'm going to be guiding you through this meditation today.

So for this meditation we will be working through a visualization to realign your chakras.

These are the energy centers that are located throughout the body and if you are unfamiliar with them,

If you're not very much of a visual person,

Don't worry about it.

Just by setting the intention to realign what is out of alignment,

You will receive the healing that you need in this moment.

Alright,

So to begin I'll just invite you to get settled into your space.

Make sure that you are somewhere quiet where you will not be disturbed for a few moments and you feel safe to fully relax and just be with yourself.

When you feel ready,

You can gently close your eyes or if you do not feel safe to do so,

Just keep your gaze slightly slitted open,

Resting on the horizon.

So you're not focused on anything in particular,

Just let the eyes be soft,

Let the gaze rest and sit with the one within.

As you land here today with yourself,

Just check in.

What is present for you in this moment?

You can notice any thoughts or judgments that are coming up as you give them space.

Sometimes in the quiet moments is when our mind becomes the most loud,

So today we're just going to let those thoughts exist,

But you don't need to do anything with them.

You may also like to check in with your body.

How is your body feeling today?

If there's any aches or pains that are present,

You can just acknowledge them.

Again,

You don't need to do anything with this knowledge right now,

Just witness.

There is no right or wrong way to do this meditation.

Just by showing up today you are already doing the work.

So to begin,

I will invite you to bring your attention down into the breath.

You may like to focus your attention on the rise and fall of the chest or the belly,

Whichever feels most natural to you in this moment.

We're not going to force the rhythm of the breath,

Just let it be easy.

Let yourself fall into your natural rhythm.

We're going to stay here for a minute,

So get settled in.

Anytime that your awareness shifts to the thoughts or something that you need to do outside of this moment,

Just gently bring yourself back.

Come back to the breath.

As you watch your breath,

You may find that it naturally begins to deepen.

Your chest naturally softens.

But if there is any bracing left in your body,

It begins to fall away.

You fall deeper and deeper into this present moment.

Deep inhale through the nose and exhale again through the nose.

Beautiful.

Now we're going to let go of the breath and I'm going to bring your attention back to the body.

So today we're going to start at the very top of the body,

At the crown of your head.

You can imagine a soft purple light glowing just at the tip of your head,

Top of your head,

Resting right upon your skull.

And just notice.

Notice if there is anything about this energy center that feels a little off.

You can notice if it feels constrained or if it's very,

Very large and expansive.

The energy centers should feel well-contained but also not restricted.

There should be free flow of energy through them.

So as we move down through the chakras,

Just going to check in.

Is this chakra a little too far to the left,

A little too far to the right?

Is it really small?

Is it feeling like there's no movement in it?

We're just going to intend that this purple light resting on the top of your head come back into its natural alignment.

This energy center is one of your first contact points with the soul,

The energy that exists beyond you.

It is where we receive all our inspiration.

You can notice too if the color is a little dull,

If it feels like there's some grime on it.

You can imagine taking the edge of your sleeve and just wiping away any dust or residue that has built up on this energy center,

Realigning it to sit at the center of your being.

The first energy center in a long column of light that rests all the way down your spine.

Next we're going to move down to the third eye.

So this energy center sits in the center of your forehead,

Just above your two eyes,

And the color is the deep indigo,

This blue almost purple midnight color.

This energy center can get quite clouded if we are walking through clouds a lot,

So if you've been around a lot of people,

Sometimes we're picking up on other people's thoughts and their ideas,

Their opinions.

So we're just going to intend that bright white light come and clear out this energy center.

Noticing again if this energy center feels small,

Restricted,

If it's a very large expansive energy center,

Just bringing it back somewhere resting in the middle,

Clearing out any debris,

Any doubts.

Next we can move down to the throat chakra.

So this is sitting at the base of your throat,

It is a small blue energy center,

And this is the energy center to do with our communication.

If we feel we may be judged for what we naturally feel inclined to express,

Sometimes this energy center can feel a little stagnant,

A little blocked,

It can stop moving,

It can feel like ice.

So again we're going to bring that warm white light in to clear out this energy center.

Notice if it feels a little too far to the left,

So if your expression is perhaps a little more feminine,

Or if it's a little too far to the right and expressing yourself creatively or expressing your emotions feels difficult in this moment,

We're just going to intend that it comes back to center.

Cleansed,

Cleared,

And purified so you are free to speak your truth with love,

Allowing any debris or other people's speaking patterns to be cleared out of the center.

Feeling how easy it is to express yourself,

How you can trust the truth that wants to move through you,

And you don't need to censor yourself because you know how to speak and express yourself with consideration,

With discernment,

With care.

Now we're going to move on down to the heart chakra.

So this energy center is a beautiful green emerald center that sits right at the center of your chest.

This one you are probably familiar with at this point.

It is the center that is associated with how and what we love,

Our relationship to the self,

Our relationship to others in our lives,

And sometimes the center can make us feel very vulnerable,

Especially if we've been in some relationships where we haven't been safe to fully express ourselves or we may have felt shunned for something that we did.

Shame can linger in this center.

So we're just going to bring that warm white light into your heart center,

Feeling it radiate out,

Reaching any dark or shadowy corners.

Noticing too if your energy center in the chest is super large and expanded,

If it feels boundary-less,

You can just gently bring it back in so that it's a medium-sized and feels contained.

You can notice if you are willing to give love to yourself as well.

Sometimes imbalance occurs in the center because we are so willing to give love to others if we are not willing to allow that love to be returned to us,

Either through our own channel or through those who are around us,

Care for us.

Allowing yourself to receive can feel quite vulnerable,

So there's nothing wrong with you if you are having a hard time letting down your walls enough to let others in,

But just knowing that the love that exists within this center can protect you.

Love is the most powerful force in the entire universe.

When you are truly anchored in this center,

You understand that from a deeply embodied place.

When your heart chakra feels like it has been tended to enough,

Just briefly check in.

How is the connection between your heart and your throat feeling in this moment?

Notice if there's any fractures that need mending.

As we clear up these centers,

Each one builds on the next,

And so when our heart is flowing well and freely,

It is often easier to speak our truth and to trust ourselves to express what wants to come through us.

Next,

We're going to move down to the solar plexus chakra.

So this is the chakra that exists right in your solar plexus.

It is your inner Sun,

Beautiful yellow color.

This chakra really relates to our sense of identity,

Who we are in the world,

Our confidence.

So again,

Just noticing does this chakra feel constrained in any way?

Does it feel dull?

Does it feel clogged with other people's energy,

Ideas,

Identities?

Identities that others have given you that don't feel true to you any longer?

And just noticing.

Noticing any shadows around the edges.

Sometimes when we're really struggling with our self-worth,

The center can contract,

So it may feel like a tiny little ball in the center of your stomach.

There may be some tension as well in that area.

So I'm just going to invite that warm white light back into the center,

Allowing it to expand to a healthy medium size where it is contained and held in light.

It's not overtaking our entire energy field,

Just as it's not contracted into a tiny little ball.

Feel the warmth of the center.

Feel the fire that might emerge from within you,

The strength to stand up for what you believe in,

To find your courage to move through this world.

It is safe to trust yourself.

It is safe to express and be who you are at your core.

Next,

We can move down to the sacral chakra.

So this center is a beautiful orange light that exists about two inches below your belly button.

It is the center that is associated with our desires,

With our pleasure.

It's a very creative center.

Sometimes when we are blocking our desires,

When we don't let ourselves feel what it is that we yearn for,

It can be hard to creatively express ourselves or generate ideas,

New material.

So whether or not you identify as a creative,

You may be creative in the way you show up for your kids or the people in your life,

The way you find solutions that no one else sees.

Or you may find yourself inclined to be creative in more traditional ways,

Telling stories,

Writing poems,

Making art.

All of it is valid.

I'm just gonna bring some love to this center,

Imagining that warm white light filling all the empty spaces.

Letting yourself know that it's safe to rest in the center.

It's safe for you to have your desires.

It is safe for you to have needs.

Noticing just any emotions that come up as you sit with this center.

Any feelings.

You can notice if you feel uncomfortable in any way,

And just know you're safe here.

You are okay.

There is nothing to be ashamed of.

Intending and allowing for any cracks to be sealed over,

For any debris to be cleared out,

For the center to shine as it is meant to.

Finally,

You're going to bring your attention down to the root.

This is at the very base of your spine.

This red center has to do with our safety.

This is our foundation.

So if you ever feel like you don't know how to rest in your life,

That you don't know how to be held,

If everything feels very unsteady for you,

Check in with the center.

Check in with how safe you can feel,

That you are allowed to feel safe,

Even if you don't know or have all the answers to your particular situation in this season.

That there is safety in your connection with the unseen world,

That there are people who love you,

That your instincts are good,

That you are strong,

That you know how to take care of yourself in this world.

The center really invites us to slow down,

Take things one step at a time.

And know that when you build a really good foundation,

So much beauty can grow from it,

Even if it takes a little more time.

So here we're going to imagine this warm white light just clearing out the center,

Filling in any gaps,

Allowing the center to come into a nice medium shape to feel contained,

Yet also know that it has the capacity to expand if it needs to.

And as this warm white light continues to flood this energy center,

You can also just notice how there is a sphere of red light expanding beyond it.

This is your root,

This is where you anchor yourself back into your body,

Even on the days when it feels hard.

You're going to imagine now letting go of the root chakra,

Just seeing a warm white light washing down through all the chakras,

Allowing them to become aligned.

So starting at the crown,

Moving down through the third eye,

Through the throat,

Down into the heart chakra,

To the solar plexus,

To the sacral,

Finally down into the root.

Allowing this light to spill down through your legs,

Down through your feet,

Into the earth before you.

Just imagining a beautiful golden pathway unfurling for as far as you can see,

Knowing that this is your path to walk.

And there may be times when you deviate from what you think you should be doing.

There may be times when the path swerves,

Or you can't see two feet in front of you,

And yet this path remains.

You are always held,

You are always guided,

No matter where you find yourself in this life.

You do not need to walk this path alone.

Finally,

Allowing this visualization to dissolve,

Turning back to your physical body,

To your physical space.

See how you feel in this moment.

You can allow this energy to carry you forward into the rest of your day,

The rest of your week.

Knowing that you are aligned with your true essence,

With your true energy,

And the path that lies before you.

Placing one hand over your heart,

Just thank yourself for showing up for you today.

When you feel ready,

You can open your eyes.
