Hi and welcome to the self-forgiveness meditation.
My name is Marta and I am beyond grateful to be a part of your healing journey.
Self-forgiveness is about accepting yourself no matter where you are,
Despite past mistakes,
Letting go of guilt,
Resentment and anger,
Allowing healing to take place.
It's a profound act of releasing energetic ties to pain,
Restoring harmony within yourself and the universe.
It's also a deep act of self-compassion that acknowledges you are human,
Learning and evolving.
In this meditation,
You are taking the first step into forgiving yourself,
Opening the path of self-acceptance,
Healing and inner peace.
Releasing the weight of past regrets and embracing the truth that you are worthy of compassion and growth.
For this meditation,
You'll need a mirror.
Or keep it close to you while you find a comfortable position to sit.
Close your eyes if you haven't done that yet and allow yourself to arrive at this moment in time.
I invite you to take a deep inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth.
Take a moment to feel the parts of you that are touching the floor.
Imagine you are growing roots into the center of the earth.
Can you feel the warmth that comes from these roots from the Mother Earth?
Know that this moment is yours and let her whisper into your ear.
This is a safe place.
You're safe,
Protected,
Loved and secure.
Allow yourself to lengthen the spine from that safe place with confidence.
Take a moment to deepen your breath as you are becoming more present.
Let go of the world outside,
Be here,
Truly focused on yourself and remember you are not alone.
If at any moment throughout this meditation you feel you need comfort,
Please come back to your breath and let it anchor you in the present moment,
Bringing a sense of calmness and reassurance as you continue the journey of self-forgiveness.
Now let's start.
I would like to invite you to bring to your mind five things you like about yourself.
If it's difficult,
You can think about things other people like about you.
Let them sit with you.
Now,
I would like to invite you to think about the things you don't like about yourself and have judged yourself for through life.
Can you bring to your mind one moment of your life you were proud of yourself?
One moment when you felt you failed?
Can you recall the forms of violence you used against yourself?
Harsh words,
Lack of confidence,
Bad habits,
Maybe addictions.
I can't do it.
I'm not capable.
I'm ugly.
Too fat,
Too skinny.
I'm not worth it.
Can you recall the forms of violence you allowed others to use against you?
Physical,
Mental,
Emotional,
Toxic relationships,
Maybe letting people who don't believe in you guide your life.
I invite you to softly open your eyes and look at yourself at the mirror.
See your face,
Your wrinkles,
Your story in every corner.
See your eyes and how they look back at you.
See your smile and your tears.
See everything you love,
What you're proud of,
But also what you don't like about yourself and have judged throughout life.
Look into your eyes and see your flaws,
The harsh words you said and all the times you didn't trust or supported yourself unconditionally and find a way to forgive.
Forgive yourself deeply.
Forgive yourself profoundly.
Embrace everything that has made you who you are today,
A courageous and conscious human being who is here taking a huge step into forgiveness.
Invite your eyes to see beyond the surface,
Reminding yourself of your true essence,
Love and kindness.
Give yourself a smile.
Allow your eyes to see your true beauty.
When you're ready,
Let go of the mirror and give yourself a big hug,
Perhaps the biggest hug you had ever given to anyone.
Forgive yourself unconditionally again and again.
Make that hug even deeper and even more healing,
Cleansing all layers of guilt,
Resentment and anger you've been collecting among the years.
In its place,
Plant self-love,
Acceptance and compassion.
When you're ready to let go of that hug,
Come back to that meditation position with your eyes closed.
Take a few deep breaths,
Inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth with sound.
Coming into a place of steadiness and calmness,
I invite you to repeat the following mantra to yourself,
Internally or out loud,
Whatever feels right for you right now.
I forgive.
I forgive the ones who hurted me.
I forgive the universe for the challenges and hard times thrown my way.
And most important of all,
I forgive myself unconditionally.
Slowly and my judgement ends here.
Slowly I invite you to get back to your soothing,
Loving breath,
Feeling proud about the courage you've shown today.
Feel your body less heavy without your past regrets,
Without the energetic ties to pain.
Feel your mind free and your heart warm.
Acknowledge the harmony that comes from the peace of self-forgiveness.
And remember,
You are on the right path.
You took the first step and you're not alone.
So keep going and set yourself free.
Today starts a new chapter in your life,
Fresh,
Unwritten,
Guilt-free and full of possibility.
I'm Marta,
Thank you so much for being here with me today.
One more step into our healing journey.
From my heart to yours,
Namaste.
