We spend a lot of time in our thinking minds - and although the benefits and gifts of the mind are many, without a counterweight, can feel overwhelming. The presence, feeling, and connection of the heart is the perfect balance to the thinking mind. The course objective is to teach you to embody the principle "The Heart is your Guide The Body is the Compass, and the Mind is the agent". We spend time connecting to the heart space through various modalities - so you can find the techniques that work best for you specifically. Connection with heart is a personal journey, this course strives to give you the tools, encouragement, accountability, and support you need to cultivate and expand this connection. The Body is an important component in creating harmony between Heart and Mind, and informs us of the hearts will. We'll learn to attune to sensation in the body to learn how the body can inform us of our subconscious knowing on a subtle level. We'll reconnect back to the heart and body repeatedly throughout the course - encouraging the heart to take the lead, and allowing the thinking mind to take a backseat. This course draws upon breath, somatic work, visualization, energetics, and much, much more.


Meet your Teacher

Yaicha is a psychiatric Physician Associate (PA-C), Psychology BS, Trauma-informed yoga instructor, breath and meditation coach, and Reiki Master. She is also certified in Pain Reprocessing Therapy for treating pain and anxiety relief. She works on an individual level with patients and clients to transform anxiety and pain using different modalities dependent on their unique needs. She brings this knowledge, experience, and passion to help individuals transform their state of being to this course. Yaicha integrates the science from her background in medicine and psychology with mind-body-based approaches in her work.

Speed is the fuel of the thinking mind. In this lesson, we work with the breath to learn to start slowing down. This sets the foundation for gaining access to the heart and body in lessons to come. Slowing Down To Connect With The Heart

We build upon the previous lesson of finding slowness within ourselves through breath. Once we've slowed down, we'll start to connect with our body and heart space. Lesson 4

Intensity And Distribution Of Sensation

Today, you will just be listening. We'll discuss how and why individuals experience sensation and emotion differently. You need to have your own experience rather than trying to create a sensation or emotion in your body that isn't safe, possible, or truly you. Instead, we focus on the beauty of getting to know and understand our unique selves and what our own patterns of experiencing sensation and emotion are like.

Lesson 5

Somatic Compassion

Today, we'll work with different events that may elicit compassion and other emotions. Without judgment, we'll allow these sensations around these events to land in our bodies and hearts. We'll then investigate how we treat ourselves comparatively to others when we undergo struggle and how we may learn to treat ourselves a little more kindly.

Cultivate Your Heart Energy

This lesson will introduce you to a new technique for heart connection - tapping into the energy of the heart. All you need is yourself, and a comfortable seat or place to lie down. Gentle music accompaniment.

The Body Is Your Compass: Connecting With "Yes"

In this lesson, we shift from focus on the heart, to connecting with the body. We'll walk through a memory where we innately knew that something was meant for us, something that felt right, and connect with what that sensation felt like in our bodies.

Lesson 8

The Body Is Your Compass: Connecting With "No"

In the last lesson, we worked with a memory that evoked a knowing of "yes". Today we'll work with a memory that evokes feelings of being unsure, constricting away from - what we think of as "no". We'll observe what bodily sensation this evokes. We'll also discuss discerning bodily messages sent from the mind versus the heart.

Bringing It All Together: Heart Is Guide, Body Is Compass

Today, we connect with our hearts and then pose a question, a wondering, to it. We sit back and allow the heart and body to inform us through any means it desires to communicate. We also discuss the importance of "outcome Independence".
