Hi friends,

Welcome to your meditation.

It's bright and early,

So let's jump into this meditation so we can have a productive day while working from home.

All right,

Whether you are lying down or sitting in bed,

Find a position that is roughly symmetrical,

Perhaps lying down on your back or sitting with your legs crossed,

And go ahead and place your hands on your belly or in your lap.

And as we get settled in here,

Just a reminder that even as the boundaries become blurred between our work and home life,

That we can take moments of our day to step away and check in with ourselves.

Let's begin now by bringing our attention to the breath,

Just gently inhaling and exhaling through the nose about three to five times without exerting any effort,

Just taking a moment to check in with what it feels like to be alive this morning in your body.

And now bringing the attention down into the body,

Notice the feeling of your body resting against the bed or your seat underneath you,

Checking in with any sensations you may find in your feet,

Calves,

Thighs,

Back,

Your stomach,

Chest,

Your arms,

And your head,

Perhaps relaxing any tension you may find in the face,

And continuing to breathe gently in and out.

And if the mind has wandered away and started to drift off into thought,

Bring it back,

Resting the attention on the breath and noticing how your chest and your stomach rise and fall with each inhale and each exhale.

Now bring to mind your intention for today.

Describe,

If you can,

In one word,

How would you like to show up in the world today?

Perhaps there's a specific word that resonates with you.

Perhaps you'd like to nurture yourself today.

Maybe you'd like to challenge yourself or be gentle with yourself.

Whatever the word is for you.

And if you have something difficult in your day ahead of you,

Perhaps your intention is just to show up.

And that is enough.

And let that intention permeate through your whole being.

Notice how that intention feels in your body and in your mind.

And now,

If you will,

Bring to mind something that you'd like to do today.

The most important thing.

The most essential thing.

And it doesn't have to be work-related.

It can be personal,

As long as it's important to you.

And imagine yourself doing this thing.

Completing this task.

What does that look like?

Where are you?

What time of day is it?

How do you feel while accomplishing this thing?

And how will you feel when it's done?

And let this vision really soak in.

Really imagine it as if you were there now.

And lastly,

How will you end your day?

What will signal to you that your 9 to 5 is done and it's time to transition into your 5 to 9?

Whatever that looks like for you.

Creating a plan to bookend your workday with something.

And now,

Releasing that vision,

Coming back into your body and your breath in the present moment.

Breathing in and out.

Remembering that here you are at the beginning of your day.

Resting here for a moment.

Just letting be and letting go.

Now,

Whenever you're ready,

You may open the eyes and let your eyes adjust to the light in the room where you are before moving on to the rest of your day.

Thank you so much for meditating with me today.

Take a second to leave a comment down below.

What is your intention for today?

Take good care and I look forward to seeing you again next time.
