A river in a raindrop.
The earth in the leaf of a tree.
The joy of a child playing.
Everything inside circling to the outside.
Concealed behind the surface.
God concealed behind life.
Master of the universe.
Robono,
Shell olam.
Translated word for word have a similar meaning.
Universe being the key difference.
In English,
Universe represents a gathering of everything.
The universe,
The fullness,
Complete,
Everything brought into one universe.
Olam is also the universe but it refers to the hidden aspect of the universe.
What's behind the universe.
We might call that energy,
We might call it God.
But there's this field of unseen,
Untouched,
Unknown,
Evaporated life as the water molecule evaporates,
Leaving whatever dirt that has mixed with it in life behind,
Goes back into the clouds and comes down as refreshed rain creating more rivers,
A continuation of itself in a river,
Or the sap of a tree going up into the leaf bringing some of the earth with it.
And then when the leaf is ready,
Falling back down becoming the earth once more.
So God is concealed behind the veil of life.
The joy of God coming forth in the plane of children.
The beauty of God coming forth in the intricacies of a rose opening to the sunlight.
The love of God coming forth in the creation of additional life itself.
Everything is hidden behind the veil of life.
And that hidden quality is meditated on in Master of the Universe or Rabbono Shell Olam.
Stepping through the veil,
Seeing to the sunlight,
Stepping out of the shadow.
Light seems to be all around.
Looking into a shadow takes us out of the direct light,
But there's so much reflected light,
We lose awareness that we're really in the shadow.
The hidden veil blocking the direct perception of God behind the veil can be seen through by stepping back into the direct light of God.
Jesus' commandments give us the opportunity to reconnect with that evaporated connection,
That evaporated direct perception of stepping back into the light and coming out of the shadow of forgetting and just seeing the reflected light off the veil of life.
So starting with the English,
Master of the Universe,
And noticing the veil and then switching to Rabbono Shell Olam and seeing through the veil to the hidden quality of God behind the veil,
Stepping into the direct light of God,
The direct sunlight coming out of the shadow,
Awakening in every moment,
In every raindrop,
Seeing the river.
