This Yoga Nidra practice will guide you into balance, presence & deep sleep. It will guide you towards the 5th Kosha in Yoga Nidra called the Anandamaya Kosha. Also called "ocean of bliss", it is referred to in this practice as the "river of love". Underneath the layers of our "self", there is a current that flows, stemming from the collective source. It's a state of peace, bliss, and love that is constant and unconditional. It is normal to flow in and out of this state when we move deeper into the practice of Yoga Nidra; even a few moments spent in this state can bring a sense peace and balance to the body and mind. Remember, it is a practice that can take time, so be patient and let your focus be on finding rest. Use this track to sleep, nap, or have some "you" time. The music will fade out slowly so you can fall asleep. Lie back, relax...let what happens, happen...give yourself the gift of rest. Music created by Natalie - Gentle voices & rippling water from a babbling brook.

Welcome.

Today we'll move through a yoga nidra practice that will guide you into a space of balance,

Presence,

And healing.

When we can allow the body,

Mind,

And spirit to align and balance with each other,

This is when we can really access the doorway into deep healing and deep transformation.

And so,

Underneath our lived experience,

Our thoughts,

Beliefs,

Who we think we are,

Our opinions,

Our memories,

There's a constant flow happening.

And even if we're able to tune into this flow for a few moments,

We may have the opportunity to experience and become pure love.

This is a little different from the love we might see in the world in media,

And it's rather a love that links every soul and being on this earth,

And that stems from a collective source that was the beginning of life.

It recycles,

Is reborn in every moment.

In yoga nidra,

We also call this the Ananda Mayakosha,

And so it's the fifth state of consciousness,

The state of peace,

Pure bliss,

And love.

Allow your body to settle into a place of stillness,

And start to notice your physical body softening with each breath into the support.

Feel your back body sinking down.

Feel your body becoming still.

Imagine a cocoon of light beginning to form around your body.

You might imagine the shimmering light that's reflected on water,

Creating an orb of protection around you.

Imagine what this looks like,

This orb,

Cocoon of light surrounding your body.

Notice what it feels like as well,

To be in this space of safety and protection.

Within this space of protection,

Within this cocoon,

Begin to connect to your own heart's intention,

Your deeper purpose,

Also known as a sankalpa.

And if you have one that you use regularly,

Please feel free to use it,

And I'll offer a few as well that you're welcome to use for today.

A few examples may sound like,

I trust that the world is holding me,

Or the river of love flows through me,

Or lastly,

I am the river of love.

Give yourself a moment,

Allowing any insights of what your heart's intention may be,

And once you have found the words,

Say them to yourself a few times.

Let your attention rest on your physical body,

And we'll make our way slowly through a body scan.

You're welcome to simply notice each part as we move through,

Following my voice,

Or you might imagine that same shimmering light and water flowing through your body,

Similar to the cocoon of light that you created around you.

We'll begin on the right side.

Sense into your right thumb,

And shift your attention to your first finger.

Second finger.

Third finger.

Little finger.

The palm of your right hand.

Back of your hand.

Wrist.

Upper arm.

Shoulder.

Right side of your waist.

Ankle.

The sole of the right foot.

Top of the foot.

First toe.

Second toe.

Third toe.

Fourth toe.

Fifth toe.

Slowly imagine this shimmering light filling up the right side of your body,

Sensing into the whole right side.

We'll move over to the left side.

Sense the thumb of your left hand.

First finger.

Second finger.

Third finger.

Little finger.

Wrist.

Upper arm.

Left shoulder.

The left side of the waist.

Hip.

Sole of the left foot.

Top of the foot.

First toe.

Second toe.

Third toe.

Fourth toe.

Fifth toe.

Slowly imagine this sparkling,

Shimmering light,

This water filling your left side body,

Sensing the whole left side.

Now begin to sense your tailbone.

And moving slowly,

This healing light and healing water beginning to move with your awareness up the length of your spine,

Slowly filling your back.

Eventually coming up to your shoulders.

Neck.

And the top of your head.

Sense your forehead.

Both eyebrows.

Both eyes.

Cheeks.

Sense your chest.

And the breath moving in your chest.

And now slowly allow your awareness to move down from your chest,

Down towards your pelvis.

Sensing all the spaces that are filled and emptied as you breathe.

Allow your breath to be calm.

Natural.

And notice the inhale and the exhale.

Both moving gently and evenly.

This natural,

Gentle breath bringing balance into the body.

Begin to invite in the feeling of balance in your body and mind.

Inviting in a felt sense and an embodiment of what it feels like to be balanced.

Really tune in and become fully aware of your own body.

Experience.

As you begin to experience this balance,

Invite in a deep sense of trust.

Trust in the flow of life.

Trust in yourself.

Deep trust that you are held.

You are healing.

And you are love.

Imagine that you're sitting on the edge of a desert river.

And you watch the water gently flowing.

Notice the colors of the sand.

The colors of any plant or life close by.

And as you stare into the flowing water,

Meditating,

See the light of the sun reflected on the water as it moves.

See the colors.

The textures.

Hear the sound of the flowing water.

And feel the cool,

Gentle breeze of the water flowing near you as you sit under the warm sun.

Still cultivating that deep sense of trust in the flow of life.

Let yourself soften into the deep,

Felt sense of trust that everything in this life is already written and that it all happens for a reason.

Embodying the trust that you will heal.

And that you will naturally find balance.

Allowing yourself to become this river,

This flow,

This river of love.

Allowing yourself to sink deeper.

Letting the images fade.

But allowing the feelings and the experience to remain.

Continuing to be the river of love.

Finding peace.

Finding rest.

Thank you I have been using another of your Yoga Nidra meditations at bedtime for over a year and others before that. It is nice to have a fresh new one to change to and add to my collection of your work. I particularly like the babbling brook background and moving up the spine after going down the legs. The context of connection with the essence of water and earths pure essence of loving presence of bliss is a welcome timely addition. Namaste 🙏🏻

Sweet nidra with beautiful soundtrack. The guided part could be longer but that's just my personal preference. Thank you!
