Self-love.
Self-love was a term that used to feel foreign to me.
Where do I even begin?
Thoughts swarmed like,
I don't like how I look.
I've made so many mistakes.
I'm not good enough.
I don't like who I see in the mirror.
I don't like how I feel.
I don't like how I am.
If any of these sound familiar to you,
I see you.
I hear you.
And I know that pain.
But I will tell you with patience and gentle perseverance,
I've made so much progress on my self-love journey and you will too.
I honor and appreciate every feature,
Every trait and every emotion I hold.
I give myself grace and understanding and space to make mistakes.
My inner dialogue has turned from negative self-talk to,
Majority of the time,
Positive self-talk and encouragement and you will get there too.
Let's take a moment to talk to the universe right now and set an intention for this meditation to take you one step forward on your self-love journey.
If you feel comfortable to do so,
Close down the eyes or simply soften the gaze and begin to slightly lengthen your inhales and slightly lengthen your exhales.
Tuning in to that quiet,
Safe haven that always exists within you.
Your healing space,
Your safe space where you can completely lower your guard and lower your defense mechanisms,
Where you can be completely honest with yourself for your highest good.
Check in with your physical body.
Can you let go of any tension and relax your physical body further?
Can you let go of any tension from the head and jaw and neck and shoulders?
Can you fully relax your chest and belly and spine,
Letting go of any tension in the arms and hands,
Feeling any residual tension melting away from your hips,
Your legs and your feet?
Take a few rounds of breath here,
Relaxing deeper,
Settling in for a peaceful healing session where your only job is to fully relax and surrender and listen.
These mantras you're about to hear are true and I say that with confidence.
And if you don't believe it yet,
Keep saying them,
Keep feeling them and keep hearing them as they are true and you will eventually find yourself exactly where you are supposed to be.
You can just simply listen and relax or you can repeat these mantras out loud or in your mind.
