Hello friend and welcome to this self-esteem meditation.

You're probably wondering to yourself what is self-esteem?

Self-esteem is simply how you see yourself and how you feel about yourself.

In this session we are going to think of all the different ways we can feel good about ourself.

This my friend will improve your self-esteem.

So when you are ready let's begin.

Find yourself a cozy seat,

Make any last wiggles and then you can softly close your eyes.

As you sit here you might begin to notice any sounds in the distance.

Notice any sounds close to you.

Then notice your breath.

Following your breath as you breathe in and breathe out.

Slowly in and slowly.

Our self-esteem is another way of saying how we see or feel about ourself.

And it's important to check in with ourselves as often as we can.

Especially when we are learning and growing in school.

We can improve our self-esteem by choosing one thing that we are proud about this week.

So think to yourself right now.

What are you proud about?

You might be proud about the new things you have learned or that tough math sum that you solved.

I bet you have lots and lots of things to feel proud about.

Believing in yourself is such a great way to boost your self-esteem.

Sometimes school can be tricky and challenging but knowing that you have the ability to do anything you put your mind to is a great way to feel good about yourself.

You,

You can do anything you put your mind to.

And even if we fall,

Make a mistake or fail,

Know that this my friend is okay.

It's actually from these mistakes that you learn,

Grow and become aware of yourself.

Which is the perfect recipe for improving your self-esteem.

Accepting who you are and where you are is such a powerful thing that you can do.

Showing true love for yourself and being grateful for the person you are.

This is what growing your self-esteem is all about.

Now give yourself a big hug because you deserve it.

When you are ready,

Slowly make some nice gentle movements with your body.

Make some wiggles with your fingers and toes.

And then when you are ready,

You can open your eyes.
