Hello and welcome to this managing stress meditation.

Today we will look at ways that you can follow to help lower your stress,

Removing you from any worry and help you to feel calm.

Let's start this session by finding our comfortable seat and then we can close our eyes.

As you sit here,

Take some nice gentle breaths.

Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Having a nice slow breath is one way of calming your body and mind during a stressful time.

Your slow breaths sends a message to your mind telling it that you are safe.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Following that breath deep down into the belly and slow and calm breaths as you breathe out.

We can also become aware that feeling stressed or worried is normal and that these feelings eventually move.

They come and then they go.

Here one minute and then they gradually fade away.

Besides our breath and noticing that time will gradually pass,

We can also remind ourselves of positive happy thoughts.

Repeat after me.

This feeling will go away.

I am safe.

Notice now as you sit here,

A drop in any stress that you may have had.

Now feeling calm and relaxed and at peace with yourself today.

When you are ready,

Slowly make some gentle movements and then you can open your eyes.

Have a wonderful day today.
