Welcome.

This is a guided practice for when you have an imminent decision to make that you don't yet feel confident about.

Our goal in this meditation is to connect to intuition and insight before making a decision and moving forwards with confidence and certainty.

So please begin by getting comfortable.

This meditation can be done sitting or lying down.

Close your eyes.

For a moment let's focus on the breath and release a little bit of the tension you may be holding.

Even if you're lying down,

Feel like you're lifting your shoulders to your ears when you inhale.

And when you exhale,

Slowly let them relax.

Go again with that.

Breathing in deeply,

Shrugging the shoulders up and exhaling,

Releasing both the breath and the tension from your shoulders.

And this last time just breathe in deeply,

Feeling up.

Hold for a moment.

And when you exhale,

Let go of any of the tension in the shoulders and jaw.

Breathe a little more naturally now.

Can you breathe in inviting confidence into your mind and body?

And exhale,

Let yourself relax.

Bring to mind the decision that you've been stuck on,

The one that brought you to this practice.

And when you're done,

Let yourself relax.

Notice if there's anywhere that the stress,

Uncertainty or anxiety around this question is presenting as tension in your body.

Maybe in the toes,

Glutes,

Belly,

Shoulders or in the space of your heart,

Throat,

Forehead,

Perhaps somewhere else.

Notice how this uncertainty feels.

As you notice it,

Breathe into that space and encourage the tension to soften away with your exhales.

We'll now repeat some affirmations.

You can repeat them out loud or silently to yourself,

Or you can repeat them in a few seconds.

You may feel resistance to some and that's okay.

Try your best to remain in or continue to come back to a feeling of openness and receptivity.

You may feel resistance to some and that's okay.

Try your best to remain in or continue to come back to a feeling of openness and receptiveness.

I am confident.

I'm ready to release self-doubt.

I am confident.

I can make decisions.

I acknowledge that making no decision is also a decision that I'm making.

I have choices.

I don't have to be perfect.

I'm ready to take action.

I'm ready to make a decision.

Imagine yourself to be in a beautiful park at sunrise.

It's early in the day and the sun has only just risen,

So the temperature is perfect.

This place is totally safe.

Nothing here can hurt you.

So you wander along a path enjoying the sights and sounds of a peaceful park.

You can see lush green grass and manicured plants either side of the path.

You can smell the sweet smell of honeysuckle blooming.

You smile a little when you spot a hummingbird stopping by to hover and enjoy the nectar.

In this place you feel relaxed and at ease.

This early in the day your mind feels uncluttered and your body is rested.

There's a wonderful spot ahead to take a meditative seat.

In your mind make your way there and take your time to get settled.

You find your comfortable seat and close your eyes.

Tuning into your breath.

In and out.

In and out.

Feeling clear.

Feeling calm.

In your mind repeat silently to yourself.

Let me speak to my inner wisdom.

Let me hear the voice of my inner wisdom.

Let me speak to my inner wisdom.

Let me hear the voice of my inner wisdom.

Bring to mind the question you're looking to answer,

The decision you want to make.

Ask yourself clearly the question and listen for the answer that arises.

Once you hear that answer let go of the question and relax a little longer.

In your mind's eye continue to sit in the peaceful park.

Commit internally to the answer that arose and see how that feels.

How does it look and feel to be moving forwards with this decision?

While we can't predict the future and what will happen as a result,

See if you can imagine moving forwards having made your decision.

Do you feel a sense of relief or do you feel resistance or tension?

Just notice whatever arises without judging yourself for it.

Can you fast forward a week?

How do you feel about this in one week's time?

How do you feel about your decision in one month's time?

How do you feel about your decision a year from now?

If it feels possible,

How does this decision feel 10 years from now?

Come back to this moment again and let's zoom out in a different way.

Imagine that you're in the eye of a super strong telescope.

It's looking down from space and focused only on you and this decision right now.

Now zoom out and take in a sense of a building or space that you're in.

What if you zoom out with a telescope so that you're part of a town or city nearest to you?

How do you feel?

Zoom out so the telescope can see your whole state or region and then continue out so it sees the whole country.

How do you feel about your decision right now?

Can you zoom out more so you see the whole world?

Take a deep breath in and a calming exhale.

When you're ready,

Start to get a sense of the space that you're in.

Feel the support underneath you,

The bed,

The floor,

The chair.

Wiggle your fingers and your toes to reconnect to your body and take a deep breath in.

Sigh it out.

Continue to stretch and reawaken in your own time.

I hope this meditation has helped you to feel more clear and confident about the decision you needed to make.

May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you feel safe.

May you be peaceful.

Namaste.
