Welcome to day 11.

Let's take a moment to scan through your body and send some inner emails of relaxation.

Start with the feet.

Move up through the body.

Fill your calves.

Thighs.

Hips.

Body.

Chest.

Invite all body parts to relax.

Your back.

Shoulders.

Arms,

Hands.

Neck.

Throat.

Face.

Remember that you're only sending an invitation to relax.

You don't need to force anything.

Just allow whatever you feel to be here right now.

Did you ever hold a baby in your arms?

We are all born like this,

Soft,

Open,

Curious and loving.

Then life happens and somewhere on the way we begin to build an armor of tension.

Every time we feel insecure,

Someone yells at us,

Threatens us or judge us,

We add some layers on the armor.

Every time we feel pain and someone tells us to ignore the pain,

To ignore our feelings,

The armor grows.

Layer by layer our whole body and our heart turns stiff and we get used to it.

So used to it that we forget we are wearing this armor.

Besides,

Everybody else is wearing one too.

Then we begin to believe that the armor is necessary.

We believe it actually protects us from danger when in fact it only shields us from our sensitivity and the source of life itself.

We walk around numb like zombies,

Not dead but not truly alive either.

And even the strongest armor can't protect us from our own vulnerability.

It's enough for our heart to skip a single beat out of a million for us to know how vulnerable we are.

So let's take that step into the unknown and become alive again.

Let's drop this armor of fear that has become a prison for us.

Imagine how much easier it will be to breathe and think without these layers of tension in your chest and head.

And now find your way back to your body and the softness inside the armor.

Feel the aliveness in your breath,

The movements in your abdomen,

Belly and chest.

Include a little thank you to all the parts of the armor.

Let go by saying thank you tension.

You did your best to protect me.

I release you now.

Let go with a smile and a thank you.

Congratulations.

You have finished day 11 and begun the great adventure to live life without an armor.

Letting go of armor is hard. In the beginning it feels like what I’d imagine a turtle without its shell feels. So worth it though!
