Cultivating Energetic Presence In Your Business

The first thing anyone notices is your energy.

Whether or not they register this is another matter.

But how this energy feels to them determines what happens next.

Energy triggers emotions and emotions trigger thoughts.

There's a cascade of influence that comes into play purely because of the energy that you hold.

So energetic presence becomes a powerful aspect of life when that energy is consciously embodied in every action.

This is the reason that energetic presence is poised to become a major factor in business development.

Those who work intuitively within their businesses already understand this,

But the embodiment of energy is challenging within this noisy world we have created.

The predominance of logic,

Reason and quantitative measurement is very effective at shutting down the parts of us that we need to consistently embody energy.

But before we can consider what it means to embody energy,

We really need to understand energy itself.

So the way I look at it is that energy is consciousness.

It's values,

Principles and desires in its simplest form,

Which is frequency.

And every conscious business is initiated from these frequencies.

There's an outcome that you want to see realized in the world.

There are values you want to see being adopted and lived by.

There is work that desperately wants to be brought to life through you.

And the shorthand we have for all of that is soul.

Business comes from the soul.

It is soul energy.

Now the world of business that currently predominates is distinctly lacking in soul.

The notion of embodying soul in business principles and models and practices might actually seem ludicrous.

But the world is changing and the narrative that dominates is shifting.

People are reigniting the parts of themselves that have been shut down for far too long.

More and more people are remembering how to read the energies that cross their paths every day.

And this is happening within businesses just as much as it is happening in other fields of life.

And where soul energy is not embodied,

Potential customers feel it and move on.

The hold of psychological approaches,

Which has been the mainstay of business,

Is already slipping.

Psychology simply doesn't cut it if you know that you are being played.

So those predominant trends of psychological marketing that are designed to make people feel inadequate without whatever you are selling will risk missing out if they don't buy.

They don't work when someone consciously reads the energy they are presented with.

Fundamentally,

Everything that underpins the modern business needs to change.

Energetic presence is an emerging essential skill.

Presence comes into play when soul energy is consistently and coherently embodied.

Presence emerges from the frequencies that underpin every business.

Now if that is predicated on making a lot of money in the easiest possible way,

Those who come into contact with that business can feel it and they respond accordingly.

So they are likely to be adrenalized in every contact,

Ready to defend their interests when the inevitable boundary crossing happens.

Now consider that if that presence comes from a clear set of values about how to show up in the world,

Customers are actively engaged in the actualization of those values rather than having a risk to their wellbeing.

And then again,

If that presence comes from a desire to create a specific impact,

Customers are actively participating in creating positive change through their engagement and that is also a positive contribution to their wellbeing.

So at an energetic level,

Those three scenarios feel vastly different to those encountering them.

And that results in different responses.

Now developing any business based on how those interactions feel is simply not within the current business vocabulary.

To respond to how people feel is not about psychology or logic.

It comes into being when energy is consistently embodied in every aspect of business.

That's energetic presence.

Now in our world where hacks are mainstream,

I have to tell you that there are no shortcuts to creating energetic presence.

There is no option for putting a spin on it.

The work to find the energy to feel it and bring it to the world has to be honest and ongoing.

In a world where business has controlled our cultural narratives and use spin and PR to gloss over appalling atrocities and put profit over people and planet for so long,

Can there be such honesty?

I genuinely believe that there can.

Conscious entrepreneurs are already changing the narrative of business and many small businesses are carving out new approaches to their operations that challenge the culture.

So as we find ourselves in these changing times,

The need to develop new skills has never been more necessary.

And energetic presence is one of those tools that is already emerging to support new business dynamics.

Now there are four distinct aspects of presence that need to be developed in every business that adopts any conscious principle.

The first is passive presence.

And it is simply learning to feel the energies of desire and values and impact that underpin your business and hold them within the business.

Now we are not used to this kind of work in the world of business,

But we are designed for it.

Stopping to feel the energies and understanding their qualities is extraordinarily impactful.

Every client that I've ever introduced to these energies has been blown away by the nature of energy choosing to be expressed through them.

So feeling and accepting this energy within your business results in a huge change in how you see your business and how you bring your business to the world.

Which neatly brings us to the second aspect of presence,

Which is active presence.

And this is where you consciously extend this energy into the world.

Now that might be purely energetic,

Visualising the energy travelling across your chosen area or your market.

It might also be in the way you write,

Speak or present your business and its products.

Ultimately,

You choose ways of sharing energy that feel right and coherent to the energy.

So some energies are joyful and extrovert,

Some are gentle and fluid.

And the ways of sharing that energy are matched to the energy itself to remain in integrity.

The concepts of active presence and energetic integrity are a deep challenge to the notion that business works in a prescribed way.

Active presence demands the reigniting of our deepest creative expression to bring to life new pathways and possibilities to share the energy.

Passive and active presence are the backbone of energetic presence,

But it can fall to pieces very rapidly without the next two aspects.

The third aspect is functional presence.

Now interaction with your business in any form has to sustain the energetic qualities to sustain the connection with your audience and customers.

Fundamentally,

Your business has to be designed to function in ways that are in integrity with the energy.

So your accounting,

Your HR,

Your website,

User experience,

Your logistics are perfect examples of where energy gets lost in translation.

Standard processes are often adopted that switch off the energy entirely.

To establish coherent and lasting presence within functions,

You'll need to go deep into your values and how these need to be embodied in every single thing that your business does.

There are countless examples of businesses that have lost their connection to that initiating energy as they have scaled again and again,

And it is possible to change that trajectory.

The fourth aspect is transactional presence.

So every business has transactional energy within its setup.

Energy is exchanged in all manner of ways.

Sales is just a tiny part of the transactional relationship.

Energetically speaking,

Every customer or potential customer,

Every advocate,

Every collaborator,

Every partner,

Every app,

Every platform,

Every pathway of contact within your business is engaged in energy transactions.

Even the smallest of businesses has a complex array of business functions that are part of the transactional experience.

Now,

If the energy is off in any of these,

Your customers and your potential customers will feel it and they'll act accordingly.

So making sure that each piece fits and is configured to be consistent at an energetic level will sustain the presence of your business and support its bottom line.

As the place and role of business in society adapts to the changing consciousness,

Entrepreneurs are going to find themselves needing to develop an entire suite of new tools.

The tools of the past are simply not up to the job as we move into this new energy.

We will find ourselves coming back to what it means to be human,

What it means to have soul,

And we will come back to taking control of how we show up in life and business.

Things are changing rapidly and all businesses are going to need to be agile and attuned to their own energy to respond positively to those changes and to respond coherently.

We are creating a new future and we are going to need the tools and skills of the future to do it.
