This tool is a wonderful tool for manifesting,
And it's also a really great tool to help you keep your mind positive when you're waiting for something to happen.
I know how hard it can be to be patient,
But this tool helps me feel happy and like I'm expecting the best thing to happen,
Which is really a nice way to feel.
And then the best thing usually does happen,
So win-win!
Now this tool is so,
So fun,
And it's going to require you to talk to yourself.
I really recommend talking out loud,
So when I use it,
I'm usually alone in my car,
Or alone in my office,
Or maybe even in the shower.
Just some place where other people aren't listening to me.
But I can talk freely without worry about people thinking I'm weird.
So this is how we use the staff room technique.
I'm going to talk you through it as I do it,
And you might want to make some notes so that you get the steps down for when you want to do it yourself.
So if you need to pause and get a piece of paper and a pen,
Then please do that.
All set?
Awesome.
Let's begin.
I'm going to demonstrate this tool in the way that I use it so that you can get a feel of how it flows.
I'm also going to talk about what each step is so that you can write that down.
So the whole way to use this tool is that first I start with the idea that my life is a company.
It's the Alice Company because I'm Alice,
And it's about my life.
The boss of this company is me,
Of course.
And the mission statement of my company is for Alice to be happy and successful.
You can make whatever you want be your mission statement,
Or you can feel free to use happy and successful if that feels great to you.
Now,
Any good boss has to have a good team.
So I'm going to tell you about my team,
And I would encourage you to name your own team as well.
I have two kinds of workers on my team.
One set are the kind that do things.
They make things happen.
They are so good at bringing in new business.
They are so good at bringing me happy surprises.
And they're so good at doing the things that I wouldn't even have known how to do.
But that cool stuff happens.
And they are 100% dedicated to the mission of me,
Alice,
Being happy and successful.
This type of worker,
They are energetic beings here to help me.
I call them my angels.
You can call them anything you want.
You can call them your energetic helpers.
You can call them the ones that do the thing.
You can call them anything you want.
This doesn't have to have any kind of religious connotations or anything like that.
Okay?
They're just the ones that do the helping.
Now,
There are other helpers as well in my energetic team,
And their specific function is to be advisors.
This group gives me answers when I have questions.
They help me find resources and figure out problems.
Sometimes the answers come in the form of an idea in my head.
Sometimes they come from something I've read or someone who comes and greets me or talks to me or comes across my Facebook page or any of these things.
It can come in any kind of way,
But the answers show up,
And I thank my guides for that.
You can call yours advisors,
If you wish,
Or teachers.
It doesn't matter.
They are supportive energies,
And so name them whatever you want.
A good boss begins by calling a meeting.
Because we have to get things rolling,
We have to give the team assignments,
So we start a meeting.
Now,
I talk out loud,
And I say,
Okay,
Team,
All right,
Everybody,
Come on into my office,
And I just imagine that I have a nice,
Big,
Beautiful office with windows and couches and just a great place to be.
You can do this any way you want,
But you invite your team to your office.
And then I start the meeting,
As any good boss should do,
With thank yous.
I thank my team for all the good stuff that has happened that I can think of since our last meeting.
I thank them for good experiences and happy surprises,
And I get real specific.
I might say thank you for this awesome Reiki session I had with a new client today,
And it was so great that she bought my book and she wants to come back and learn with me.
I might say that.
I might say thank you so much for a wonderful little happy surprise that came in the form of a text message from my daughter thanking me for the advice I gave her.
You know?
There's so much to be thankful for,
So get that thank you energy going,
Because that is gratitude,
And gratitude is fuel.
Gratitude is gold.
Gratitude is the stuff that makes the wheels turn.
It's really,
Really important.
Let out all your gratitude,
Be sincere,
Think happy thoughts,
Feel good about the things that you're starting to talk about.
Then once you've got your gratitude section done at the meeting,
Now it's time to give assignments.
So you say,
Okay team,
Here's what we're working on,
And you just talk about what it is that you want to bring into your life.
So if it was me,
A lot of times I say,
I'm looking for new students and more people to listen to my courses and to make appointments.
I'm interested in attracting more wedding couples so that I can officiate their weddings,
Because I love doing that.
And I'm looking for some happy surprises,
Things that I didn't even know I needed but are wonderful.
And by the way,
I really appreciate you helping me with making sure that the money flow comes in at just the right amount so that I feel comfortable and happy.
And I'm doing the work that I'm meant to do in this world to help people and to engage with people and to feel great.
That might be an example of a couple of things that I might mention for the projects.
You can use anything you want.
Basically,
You're just articulating your goals.
What you're not doing is telling your team how to do it.
They don't need micromanaging.
We will not be doing that.
You just assume that your team is the best of all of the possible experts,
And they know what they're doing.
All you need to do is tell them what needs to be done.
In a very optimistic and thankful way.
We never yell at our team.
We never beg our team.
It's totally unnecessary.
They love helping.
They're dedicated to the mission.
Okay,
So you get out your goals.
And then the only thing left really is to give them your expectation for success.
I always say,
I'm so excited to see what you're going to make happen between now and our next meeting.
Thank you so much for being on the ball.
And this has been a great meeting.
I'll see you soon.
Then I close the meeting.
And how do I feel?
I feel excited and happy and like my team is on it.
And I also am ready.
And when I say I'm ready,
It means when things start to happen,
Emails come in or calls asking about my services or anything like that,
I respond.
Because I do the work with my team to help bring the mission about of Alice being happy and successful.
Action is the only other step and taking action is empowering.
This staff room technique is so great for taking away this impatient feeling or nagging worry about is it going to happen?
When's it going to happen?
And that kind of stuff.
You delegate a lot of the how and you just respond to what flows in.
I hope you try this technique and that you find it really helpful for reducing the stress of not knowing and wanting so bad something that you're trying to make happen in your life but some of it's not in your control.
