Hello,
Friends.
The other day I heard an amazing talk by the wonderful Tara Brach.
It's called Becoming Bodhisattvas in a Troubled World.
And this talk was inspired by Tara.
Pluto will soon be moving back into Aquarius,
Where it will be for the next 20 years.
Aquarius is the woman in the sky,
Representing the winds of change and the stream of consciousness,
The stream of new ideas,
Innovative ideas,
Progressive ideas that are rooted in equality,
That are rooted in humanity.
And Aquarius is about freedom as well as truth.
The type of truth that enables you to march to the beat of a different drum and appreciate the truth within you and the truth within others.
Right now life feels so challenging.
There are so many emotions to hold,
Including disappointment and fear and grief,
Disillusionment.
Everything feels so complex.
And we as humans need to find a way to simplify and come back to our own truth,
To find a way to navigate the negative spin that's out there,
The spin that creates such confusion that we may not know what the truth is anymore.
And that's why the most important thing is to come back to self,
To navigate back home to ourselves,
To find a way back to our bodies,
Our sensations,
Our inner wisdom,
To tune into our intuition and our instincts and realize what matters most.
To go beyond old beliefs around right and wrong,
To go from dividedness back into a greater sense of unity,
To open our minds and our hearts in a way that will allow us to go beyond fear and beyond the judgment of others.
As Albert Einstein has said,
We cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it.
We must find a way to go beyond our own inner judgments and find a greater level of self compassion during this time,
As well as compassion for others,
So we can heal collectively from the inside out.
Because as Pluto moves into Aquarius,
The real hope for our future will be a radical shift of consciousness,
Remembering that regardless of what we see around us and in the news,
There is also a growing number of people that are awakening together at this time,
Awakening to a universal need for greater care and compassion,
And awakening to the basic respect for life,
For our own personal lives,
And for the lives of others,
Including our neighbors,
Including the world.
Much of this talk was inspired by Tara Brach,
Where she talked about the wisdom of trees and in particular,
Heartwood.
How heartwood is the dense material inside of a tree that forms from the stress of the winds and the challenges of harsh weather.
And from these conditions,
The tree gets stronger,
Including its roots,
As the tree needs to dig deeper into the ground to find its strength,
To become more resilient,
And digging deeper into the interconnectedness in the soil,
In the earth,
With other trees.
And that interconnection with other trees also enables that one tree to get stronger.
So I'd like to invite you to imagine that you are a tree,
As you breathe into your heart center,
Finding a natural,
Easy flow with each inhale and each exhale,
As you do.
As you imagine yourself as a tree,
Tap into the wisdom of the tree with each breath,
Into the stillness,
The inner strength,
The resilience that allows it to endure and grow at the same time.
Imagine your roots going deeper into the ground,
Deeper into the power of the earth.
And as you do,
Notice what you're feeling,
What feelings are within you.
Name them and surrender them down into the earth.
Reflect on the winds of change in your own life,
And how those winds have strengthened your roots over time.
When the stress and challenges of those times helped you become stronger and clearer about who you are,
And more connected to those you love.
As you connect into your truth,
Feel your roots going even deeper,
Growing even wider.
And imagine the community of other trees that surround you.
Feel the interconnectedness of care and compassion all around you.
Connecting into a truer sense of belonging.
Belonging to others,
And belonging to this world.
Breathe into this care and compassion,
This true sense of belonging.
As you widen your awareness to the rest of the country and the rest of the world,
Of the consciousness that holds us all together,
The collective sense of belonging.
And imagine all of the people who care and are a part of our collective healing and awakening.
The millions of millions of people who care about our democracy,
Who care about equality,
And who care about freedom for all people.
The millions and millions of people who care about the health of our planet,
And care about having a more loving future.
And this from L.
R.
Nost.
Do not be dismayed by the brokenness of the world.
All things break,
And all things can be mended.
Not with time,
As they say,
But with intention.
So go love intentionally,
Extravagantly,
Unconditionally.
The broken world awaits in darkness for the light that is you.
And the light in me sees the light in you.
Thank you.
