In this meditation,

We're going to focus on letting go of negative emotions,

Specifically one emotion that may be pestering us or weighing us down.

By the end of this meditation,

I'd love for you to feel uplifted,

Relaxed,

And calmer.

Let's go ahead and begin.

Find a comfortable position.

You can go ahead and lay down or sit up in a chair.

But just ensure that you give your full weight to your bed or your chair so that you feel supported and that you're relaxed.

Go ahead and close your eyes.

And let's take a few deep breaths to release any tension that we're holding in our body.

So deep breath in and breathe out.

Deep breath in and breathe out.

Deep breath in and breathe out.

As we begin,

I'd like for you to set the intention of letting go from a negative emotion that is holding you down.

We just set that intention,

And it could be something like,

I am ready to release this negativity so that I can feel free.

Next,

I'd like for you to be willing to let go.

Being willing means I am just ready for this process of letting go and surrender.

We're not going to push any emotions away or judge emotions or judge ourselves through the process.

We will just be willing to let go.

If your eyes are not closed already,

Go ahead and close your eyes.

I'd like for you to bring your awareness to that negativity now and notice where you feel that in your body.

Do you feel that negative emotion in your heart?

Somewhere over your chest,

Your abdomen,

Or perhaps it's somewhere else in your body?

Notice the emotion and notice where it is in your body.

How does that emotion feel?

Does it make you feel bad,

Low,

Sad,

Heavy?

How does it make your body feel?

Do you feel pressure somewhere,

Tension,

Some kind of discomfort?

And how does it affect your mood?

Does it make you irritable,

Cranky,

Mopey,

Cloudy?

Notice all of these things.

I'd like for you to imagine that you're standing outside.

Where does your mind take you right away?

Are you in a wooded area,

A forest,

A jungle?

Or is it a beachfront or maybe just an open field?

But just have a look around and notice your environment.

Root yourself in this moment.

Notice.

Do you see trees,

Leaves,

Plants?

Do you smell anything in the air?

Like the smell of being in the woods or in front of a beach?

Do you hear anything?

Like leaves rustling in the wind?

Are there any colors you can take note of?

It's a beautiful day and the sun is out.

And the sky is beautiful.

Look up at the sky.

It's such a beautiful day.

You'll notice from looking at the sky that there's one cloud in the sky.

And this cloud actually represents the negativity that you feel inside.

The cloud is that negativity.

Let's notice this cloud.

What do you notice?

How large is this cloud?

What is its shape?

Are there any colors?

Is it dense,

Not so dense?

Notice the cloud and notice that the cloud is your negativity.

We're noticing that this cloud is drifting as all clouds do.

They drift with the wind.

Notice this cloud drifting away.

It's drifting away with the wind.

This cloud that holds your negativity.

And this drifting away is the process of letting go.

Just be willing to be part of this process.

There is no pushing away or changing.

Judging the process or judging how you feel.

Just be willing.

Here's the thought.

I am willing to let go.

I am willing to release what no longer serves me.

And it's as simple as that.

Watch this cloud drift away with the wind.

It's going further and further.

It's not being pushed away.

It's being carried away by the wind.

And away and away it goes.

Drifting away.

Notice how you're feeling inside as it's drifting away.

The intensity of the emotion is fading and your discomfort in your body is fading.

We're not pushing the emotion away.

We're not sweeping it under a rock.

We're just willing to let the wind carry it away.

To let the wind do the work for us.

This is part of surrender.

That we allow a higher power,

Which in this case is the wind,

To do what we cannot do for ourselves.

And the cloud is drifting away and away.

What a beautiful day.

It's bright and sunny.

There's so much to enjoy and be happy about.

It's so invigorating being outside in such a beautiful day.

The cloud is so far away that we can barely see it.

Have a look around.

Notice your environment.

Where are you?

Notice your beautiful environment and the beautiful day.

Look up at the sky again.

Not a cloud in sight.

Clear blue skies.

And a warm,

Glowing sun.

How do you feel inside?

Let's take a few deep breaths to let go of any tidbits of negativity that may be lingering around.

We're going to breathe in the willingness to surrender and let go.

And breathe out.

Any little tidbits that are left over.

So breathe in.

And breathe out.

Breathe in.

And breathe out.

Breathe in.

And breathe out.

Be willing to let this final part of the process cleanse your body fully.

And wash away any little bits of negativity that may be there.

So deep breath in.

And breathe out.

Deep breath in.

And breathe out.

Deep breath in.

And breathe out.

And one last time.

Deep breath in.

And breathe out.

All right.

Let's bring ourselves back to our bodies as we close this meditation.

I'd love for you to observe how you feel,

How your body feels.

And if you feel that you need to do this again,

Then repeat this meditation as many times as you need to.

You can go ahead and wiggle your fingers and toes and move your neck and shoulders and your hips and slowly open your eyes.

I hope you enjoyed this meditation.

And again,

As I mentioned,

Do this meditation as many times as you need to to cleanse out any negative emotions that you may be feeling from day to day.

Because I'd love for you to go through your day feeling tranquil and peaceful and calm inside.

Thank you and have a wonderful rest of your day.

Thank you.
