Make a joyful noise to Yahweh,
All the earth.
Worship Yahweh with gladness.
Come into the presence of Yahweh with singing.
Make a joyful noise to Yahweh,
All the earth.
Worship Yahweh with gladness.
Come into the presence of Yahweh with singing.
I encourage you to join me in focusing on the One from Whom Being Itself emanates.
The One from Whom Being Itself emanates.
The source of all joy.
What does it mean to be joyful?
Does it mean we are never sad or upset,
Scared or hurt?
Or does it mean perhaps to find gratitude even in the pain?
Perhaps it means to keep our eyes fixed upon where joy comes from,
Where life itself comes from.
I invite you to cup your hands in the same receiving position we observed during the first week of Advent and receive joy straight from the source.
Now imagine that you are holding in your hands that which attempts to take you away from your joy.
It could be your fears,
Your sorrow,
Your pain or your anger.
And close your hands over it as if you are holding onto it.
And then opening your hands,
Release it.
Let it go and return to a receiving posture.
Receive joy,
The joy of Advent.
Receive joy,
The joy of Advent.
Receive joy,
The joy of Advent.
