From Champiñada,
I'm Colleen Thomas.
This is daily magic for peace.
Today,
We will explore deep resilience.
Welcome to the circle.
So the items you need today are a journal and a pearl.
It's totally fine to imagine the pearl,
But if you have something that's a journal or like a journal,
That will actually be helpful.
So welcome.
Welcome.
Welcome.
I invite you to find your seat and find your body.
So since we're going to be exploring deep resilience today,
Connecting with deep resilience today,
Let's find our way into our bodies.
And let's do that by just pressing.
Pressing against our skin,
Just wherever you feel called to.
You might press your palms of your hands together,
Or you might press a hand on your arm,
Just creating a sense of that boundary,
Of your skin as a boundary,
And of what it feels like to create a bit of resistance.
Just explore this.
Maybe try pressing here,
Try pressing there.
See how it feels.
You could also press against anything you're near,
A wall.
If you were sitting at a desk or a table,
You can press down on the table or pull up from the bottom of the table.
Just experience that resistance,
Noticing the edges of your body,
Bringing yourself more into this moment.
And now that we've played with resistance,
Let's find that deep grounding.
So dropping down to the floor or the earth or the bed or whatever's holding you up right now,
Feeling down into the earth,
Into the center of the planet,
And resourcing very clearly by connecting,
Connecting with that earth energy beneath you.
Finding your grounding,
Finding your root,
Finding your connection to this beautiful earth we live on and we love on,
And also beginning to extend upward.
So we are not only extending down,
But also up,
Out of the crown of your head,
Reaching up through the ceiling or the sky or whatever's above you,
Feeling up,
Up,
Up,
Matching that groundedness with a crowning,
If you will,
Of reaching up so that you find yourself balanced,
Balanced between heaven and earth,
Balanced between earth and sky.
You feel yourself a conduit and you can grab and hold on to and use the strength of these two very powerful forces,
Earth and sky.
And feel free to release anything you don't want to be holding anymore,
Maybe clean out your aura,
Clean out your bubble space,
Allow that earth and sky energy to filter through,
Releasing anything you don't need.
Just cleaning and clearing into this moment,
Into just you,
And filling that bubble space with you,
With your heart,
With yourself.
Now these little tiny exercises we have just done are good examples of resilience.
And that's what we want to deepen into today.
And the object I asked you to imagine today is a pearl.
So let's walk that metaphor back for a second.
We have an oyster who gets a piece of sand in there and it's an irritant,
It's a problem,
And this little oyster has to find a way to deal with it and builds this thing around it so that it's not pokey and sharp and awful.
And it's something that we at least really value as people and the oyster values because it helps with its sand issue.
This is the metaphor of something in our life that is hard or awful and we have to find the strength to figure out how to deal with it and to keep our strength up.
And the invitation is to get your journal open and kind of quiet your mind and connect in with that earth and sky energy,
Feeling the resilience we already built through that connection.
So I'm going to read out a couple of questions to you.
And the invitation is to just jot down a few thoughts.
What does resilience feel like in my body?
When I hear the word resilience,
What's my knee-jerk reaction to that?
And the next question is when my body is fully resourced,
When I have everything I need and I'm just doing great,
Everything is great,
I feel perfect,
I feel wonderful,
What are a couple words about what that feels like?
Everything's great,
Everything's wonderful,
My body has what it needs,
My heart has what it needs,
I'm good,
What does that feel like?
And the next question is when I'm feeling that way,
When I'm feeling really good,
What is the foundation of that?
What is underneath me?
What is supporting me?
What is giving me a foundation on which I can feel good?
What's going on around me?
What's going on inside me that supports me and allows me to be doing well?
And the last question is those things I just identified that are a good foundation for my feeling good,
How can I remember those in the future?
And allow yourself to be creative in your thinking here.
We're helping to build new ways of connecting with deep resilience.
So allow that wisdom in you to just kind of whisper to you the answers to these questions.
So I invite you to take as much time as you'd like to,
To continue reflecting.
The process of exploring deep resilience can take time and can take dedication.
And I'm really appreciative of you being here and of you doing this exploration with me.
And my wish for you and for everyone is that we all have time to explore what gives us deep resilience and that we are able to remember in moments when we need it what we realized during these quiet times.
May it be so.
Thank you so much for being with us today.
Your presence,
Your energy,
And your heart make all the difference in healing our world.
Remember to breathe today.
Breathe and expand.
And I hope you join us again next time.
Please consider inviting a friend.
