From Shame Piñata,

I'm Colleen Thomas.

This is Daily Magic for Peace.

Today we will anchor into deep joy.

Welcome to the circle.

The only item you need today is something that brings you joy.

I was thinking something along the lines of pets,

Arts,

Music,

Theater,

Sports,

Things you love,

Things that are effortlessly fun to you,

Things you don't have to try at.

So that's a lot of ideas.

I'm going to invite you to pause the episode here for just a second and feel into what sparks joy for you in this moment.

And think if you have an item you could grab.

And I welcome you here today.

I welcome you and invite you to have a seat in the circle with everyone who's listening to this episode regardless of time and space,

Regardless of where you are when they listen,

Regardless of where they are when you listen.

The intention is that we are all somehow magically creating this wonderful circle together where we're supporting each other on the inner and sharing in this intention together.

So know that when you come here to do this work,

You're never alone.

We're always here with you.

To connect with our nervous systems today and get a little bit calmed and centered,

Let's do some shaking.

Let's just very,

Very gently notice any part of your body that might like to shake off some stress or some tension from the day,

Whatever you've done earlier,

Whatever might be on your mind or tensing your body up about what's going to happen later today or this evening.

Just shaking,

Shaking,

Gently,

Gently shaking.

You might shake your arms.

You might shake your hands.

If you're someplace where people would look at you funny,

If you start shaking,

Find a subtle way to shake or think about shaking it off in your mind.

Sometimes that can even work if you're sitting still but you're imagining just like a dog shaking all that,

Shaking everything off.

And as you shake,

Be real mindful of your body.

Be careful.

Be gentle.

But see what it feels like to shake.

Shake your shoulders and your hips.

Maybe shake your head a little bit.

Be careful of your neck.

Hands are very heavy things.

Just shake,

Shake,

Shake,

Shake,

Shake until it's off.

Whatever it is,

It's off.

And when you're ready,

I invite you to take a breath,

Releasing anything you don't need.

Noticing your grounding,

Noticing your bubble space,

Connecting to the earth,

Connecting to the space right around you.

Should you like to smooth anything out or let go of anything,

Grounding cords are a wonderful way to let go of things.

Just go ahead and get yourself centered in your space.

And now I invite you to connect with your item,

Your item that brings you joy.

If it's in your mind's eye or if it's something you're physically holding or looking at,

Just drop into deep connection with this object.

What does this object represent to you?

What aspect of life does it call you to?

What bit of joy does it awaken in you?

Are there people associated with it for you?

Are there people in your life who would understand why it brings you joy and sharing that joy with you?

Maybe it's something that's just very special to you and nobody would understand,

But that doesn't take away from its potency.

Maybe it even adds to its potency.

And as you connect and you commune with this object,

Notice where this joy lives in your body.

Is there a smile on your face?

Is your heart kind of lit up?

Do your feet feel like dancing?

Where does this joy come alive in you when you are with this object?

And I just like to take a second and say that unless somebody is listening with you,

Nobody actually knows what you're doing right now,

Which means this is your own private space to really deeply engage with this object,

With this item,

With this representation of joy.

Nobody's going to make fun of you.

Nobody's going to say,

Oh,

Grow up,

Get a job,

Be serious.

This is a place where you can really drop into that thing,

Whatever it is.

This is your private space to just have a moment to deeply appreciate and connect with this thing that is wonderful.

Where does it light you up?

How do you feel holding it?

Does your body have a desire or an impulse to move,

To dance,

Or to relax,

Or just notice what's happening?

And as you feel this connection with this joy,

Consider letting it grow.

Letting wherever you feel this sense of joy,

This feeling of joy,

Let it expand and begin to fill your body.

Begin to fill within the boundaries of your skin,

Your organs,

Your fascia,

Your bones,

Your blood.

Just let it fill your body,

Your breath.

Let it expand.

And let it expand now a little bit further into your bubble space,

Filling up this private space that is just yours,

Just right around you,

Right into your aura,

Filling up your bubble space with this joy.

Filling you,

Filling you,

Filling you right to the edge of that bubble space where you've got a nice boundary.

So just allow yourself to bathe in this joy,

And I invite you on your own to take a couple of deep breaths and allow this joy to soak in.

Be like a sponge allowing it to permeate you.

This is something we never do.

Joy is a deeply resourcing thing.

It helps us to keep going when things are hard.

It helps us to be strong in daily life.

And we're doing this because this is incredibly resourcing.

This is incredibly heartwarming,

And it helps us be healthier and happier,

And it helps us show up more for the people in life that we want to show up for.

So I thank you for joining me today with your wonderful object and your wonderful,

Joyful moment.

And if there's something that you can go do to dive into that joy,

Go and do that.

May it be so.

Thank you so much for being with us today.

Your presence,

Your energy,

And your heart make all the difference in healing our world.

Remember to breathe today.

Breathe and expand.

I hope you join us again next time.

Please consider inviting a friend.

That's it for Daily Magic for Peace.

Our music is by Terry Hughes.

I'm Colleen Thomas.

Thanks for listening.
