Welcome to this guided meditation for forgiveness.

Find a place where you can get comfortable and where you can be undisturbed for the duration of this meditation.

Start by taking some deep breaths in and out.

Follow your breath as it moves through your body.

Breathing in and out.

In and out.

With every breath you take,

You are settling into a more relaxed state of being.

Stilling your mind.

Now gently place your hand on your heart.

Connect to your heartbeat.

Feel your heartbeat and the heartbeat of the drum.

As you breathe in in and out.

Imagine that you are standing in front of a gate.

And as you step through that gate,

You feel a cleansing breeze welcoming you into a sacred space.

Step into this beautiful landscape which is vibrant and rich.

Merely being in this place is healing for you.

Open up your senses to this marvelous place and take in its beauty.

Hear the birds singing their heart song.

The wind move through the trees.

Or feel the warmth of the sun on your skin.

Today you are here because you want to create more space for yourself to be in your fullest expression.

Today you are willing to try to forgive yourself and others.

As you walk through this beautiful place,

You notice a bridge with a stream of water flowing beneath it.

Start to make your way towards this bridge.

This is a safe space where unspoken words can be released and transmuted.

Feel your feet on the earth.

The natural support beneath you with each step you take closer towards the bridge.

Know that this support is always there for you.

Before you step onto the bridge,

You see a basket with flower petals.

Whom do you ask for forgiveness?

As you breathe in and out,

Become aware of any physical sensations that might come up in your body.

Remember that you are deeply supported in this sacred place in nature.

Some of what might surface might not have ever been spoken of and are deep-seated feelings or actions you might regret.

This space is for you to release the burden that you have carried.

You may now wish to ask for forgiveness for whatever comes to your awareness.

And as you do so,

We call in the elements to support us in releasing that which has come up to let go of right now.

Now close your eyes and feel a gentle breeze rise.

Hold the petals to your heart and speak your words into the flower petals.

Breathing in and out,

Take a moment here.

Then when you are ready,

You may raise your hands to the sky and ask for the spirit of air to transmute all that you wish to be forgiven for into blessings and to be carried away.

Feeling them become lighter as you become lighter.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Now gather some more petals and ask yourself whom or what requires your forgiveness that you have not been able to let go of.

Maybe you still harbor ill feelings around what someone did to you or something that happened to you.

Who are you maybe even still blaming right now?

When we let go,

We create space within our own energy field for new.

So both parties can be free and in doing so you call your power back and the ability to move forward freer and inspired.

Who comes to your awareness to forgive?

This can be an event,

A memory or a person.

Once again place your hand on your heart and whisper into the flower petals who or what is coming up for you to forgive.

Breathing in and out.

When you're ready raise your hands to the sky and call for the wind to carry and transform all that has come up into blessings.

You now may wish to state I release the heavy weight of shame,

Blame,

Guilt and embarrassment.

I release the past so I can step fully into my future.

I forgive myself.

I forgive you.

I let go.

Breathe in and out and walk down the bridge to where the water flows.

Take a seat on the bank and maybe touch the water or put your feet in the water.

Now feel the cool refreshing energy move past your legs.

Water is a shape-shifter and can really support you in cleansing and clearing yourself.

Bathe yourself in this flowing healing water.

Allow it to purify and re-energize you as if you are being reborn.

Feel this flow of water.

Then when you are ready you may wish to come out of the water and feel the sun on your skin warming you as if you are lovingly held by the sun's embrace.

Bathe in this life force energy.

Take in the rays of this cosmic light igniting the light in you.

Your flame,

Your life force.

Love is the only way we are truly able to connect to Source and it is the way the divine connects with and through you.

It is you coming home to the truth of who you are.

As you breathe in and out feel lighter.

Breathing in and out feeling brighter.

With each step you take walk in gratitude for all that is well in your life.

Feel this in your heart and let it fill your being.

As you get near the gate you feel a gentle breeze welcoming you back.

It is now time to step through and come back to the here and the now.

Take a deep cleansing breath in and give your body a squeeze.

And it is done.
