Hello and welcome.
Please find a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down,
Whatever feels supportive for you right now.
Close your eyes if that feels right or soften your gaze toward the floor.
Take a full breath in and a releasing exhale.
You don't need to change anything about how you're breathing,
Just notice it for a moment.
The inhale,
The exhale,
The small pause between.
Your body already knows how to do this.
You've been breathing since the moment you were born.
You've never had to think about it.
Take a moment to acknowledge that truth,
The inherent wisdom of your body.
Maybe you've been spending a lot of time in your head lately,
Thinking through every decision,
Analyzing what you should do next,
Trying to figure out the right answer before you take a single step.
Your mind wants certainty.
It wants to know that whatever you choose will work out exactly as you hope.
But life doesn't offer that kind of guarantee and your mind knows it.
So it keeps thinking,
Circling,
Trying to find the angle that makes everything clear.
It's exhausting.
Meanwhile,
Your body might have been trying to tell you something but you've been too busy thinking to hear it.
So bring your attention into your body now.
Notice anywhere you're holding tension.
Maybe your shoulders,
Your jaw,
The space between your shoulder blades.
You didn't consciously decide to tighten those muscles.
Your body did that on its own.
It's quite literally a body of wisdom.
Always listening,
Always absorbing.
Your body speaks in sensations,
Expansion or contraction,
Ease or resistance.
That settled feeling when something aligns.
That unsettled feeling when something's off.
You've been taught to override those signals.
To push through when your body says stop.
To question when your body says yes.
But your body is always in conversation with you.
And when you make space to truly listen,
There's a mind of insight and intuition that can act as a powerful guide.
Think about a recent decision you've been circling in your mind.
You don't need to know a way forward right now.
Just invite it into this space with you.
As you hold that decision in your awareness,
Notice what happens in your body.
Does your chest tighten or open?
Does your breath get shallow or stay even?
Do you feel yourself leaning forward or pulling back?
You don't need to interpret it yet.
Simply notice.
You're allowed to trust what your body knows.
Even when you don't have all the information yet.
Even when you can't explain why something feels right or wrong.
Even when other people might make a different choice.
Take another full breath in.
And let it go.
As you move back into your day,
Remember that you don't need to try to stop thinking.
You're not trying to silence your mind.
But you can check in with your body before you make decisions.
You can create space for that internal conversation and ask your body what it wants you to know.
That tightness in your chest when someone asks something of you,
That's information.
That ease you feel when you're around certain people.
That's information too.
Your body is your oldest friend and your greatest guide.
Keep that knowing close to your heart and let it lead you.
Take one final inhale.
And a full,
Releasing exhale.
When you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
Thank you for being here with me today,
Sending love from my heart to yours.
