In this guided meditation, I ask 3 questions: 1) What are you grateful for?; 2) How does that gratitude make you feel?, and 3) Why is this blessing in your life? By focusing your attention on gratitude, you can naturally improve your wellbeing. Gratitude soothes your body’s stress response and allows for deeper relaxation. From this calmer state, you can choose to respond to life instead of reacting. Developing a gratitude practice will provide you with a strong foundation for emotional resilience.

Thank you for joining me in this gratitude meditation.

Thank you for taking a break from your day to cultivate love,

Positivity,

Happiness and joy.

Finding yourself in a comfortable seated position with a straight spine and an open heart.

Connecting to your breath through your nose as you inhale deeply into your belly.

Exhaling it through the mouth.

Continue this breath as you inhale through the nose,

Slow and deep.

Relaxed exhale through the mouth.

I'd like you to think of three things that you are grateful for.

What blessings do you have in your life?

These could be big monumental things that have happened or they could be simple gifts from the universe.

These blessings could be family,

Friends,

Positive events in your life,

Health,

Clean air,

A roof over your head.

Whatever fills you with gratitude,

Focus on that.

Once you have a few things in mind,

I'd like you to choose one to focus on.

How does this blessing make you feel?

When you think of how this blessing in your life has impacted you,

How does that make you feel?

Physically,

Is there a warmth in your chest?

You get tingles.

Are you hopeful,

Happy,

Calm?

As you continue breathing,

Focus on the feeling of this blessing.

Why is this blessing in your life?

Did you take a certain action?

Is there someone in your life who is partly responsible for bringing this to you?

Or is it simply a higher power taking care of you and supporting you?

You are always supported.

You are supported.

You are blessed.

You are worthy of every blessing in your life.

Continue this process with as many items of gratitude as you want,

Tuning in to the feeling of having this blessing in your life and inquiring into how did you co-create this reality with this blessing?

How are you supported?

You are always supported.

You are always loved.

You are always safe.

You are always worthy.

You are all included.

When you're ready to come out of this state of gratitude,

Remember that you can always carry this with you.

If you ever find your mind stray into the depths of negativity,

Remember this practice.

In every moment,

There is always something to be grateful for.

Gratitude has the incredible power of shifting your energy and returning you back to love.

Becoming aware of your seat,

Wiggling your toes and fingers,

Inhaling deeply and letting go of all that does not serve you through your exhale.

Simply fluttering your eyes open and taking in this beautiful life of yours.
