Namaste,
Beautiful soul.
A sense of struggle.
You couldn't exactly point at the pain,
But deep down there is a clear feeling of not being aligned.
You know where you want to get,
Who you want to be,
But somehow the gap remains.
Nothing completely fulfills you.
Most of our adult behaviors and beliefs were formed during childhood.
When we were growing up,
The unhealed wounds and projections of our parents or caregivers got in the way of loving us.
That child,
That unattended,
Unloved,
Feeling-not-good-enough child lives in us,
In our adult bodies,
In our busy lives.
In this meditation,
Let's meet your inner child and deep dive into an aspect of you that will help you heal in profound ways.
You can do this meditation sitting or lying down.
Close your eyes and arrive in the here and now.
This is a sacred,
Gentle practice of healing,
So I request you to approach this meditation with an emotion of openness and compassion.
Use the magical power of breath to prepare your nervous system for this healing journey.
Take a deep inhale that fills your belly and hold that breath for 1,
2 and 3 and let's exhale slow and long through the mouth.
Now relax your shoulders and take another deep inhale that fills your belly.
Hold for 1,
2 and 3 and like a slowly deflating balloon,
Exhale and blow out all the air through the mouth.
Let's fill our belly again,
Fresh inhale deep and long,
Hold for 1,
2 and 3,
Exhale through the mouth.
Bring your mental attention to your forehead.
Relax your forehead,
Those muscles that help you frown.
Allow your entire face to feel relaxed.
Mentally,
Give some tender loving care to your neck and shoulders.
Give them permission to relax into your breath and the gentle energy of this practice.
Now relax your fingertips,
Feel your fingertips releasing all the tension accumulated in your body with each exhale.
Now relax your toes,
Relax your entire body.
In this total state of abandon and relaxation,
Visualize walking through a path in the woods.
As you walk,
A few steps in front of you,
You see a rustic looking,
Huge beautiful door.
You slowly walk up to the door.
The other side of the door has the deeper subconscious aspect of your being.
You gently push the door open and you are welcomed by a lush green garden,
Beautiful and vibrant flowers,
Magical looking butterflies.
You step into the garden and stroll through it.
At a distance,
You see a little child playing.
You walk to take a closer look.
It's your child self,
Your inner child,
That subconscious aspect of you,
Your childhood right there in front of you.
Walk closer to the child.
Ask permission if you can sit next to him or her.
Visualize the child nodding in agreement.
As you kneel and sit down next to the child,
Observe the innocence.
Is the child happy or sad?
Lean in and feel the energy of the child.
Does that little one need nurturing or does it need trust or acceptance?
Try and feel the energy of the child.
Extend your right hand and see the child giving you their hand to hold.
Feel the tenderness of their touch.
Ask the child,
How are you feeling my dear?
Tell me what you need.
It's time to acknowledge what the child feels.
Listen lovingly and receive them fully.
Tune in and notice what comes up.
There might be uncomfortable shifts in your body or upsetting emotions.
If that happens,
Let them all play out.
Observe with compassion.
Take your time with this child.
I will hold space for you.
Gently extend your left arm.
Allow the child to hold your arms.
Look into their beautiful eyes and say these words to your child.
I am sorry for all the accumulated memories you carry.
But please know that I am with you now.
And I will never leave you.
You matter to me and I will keep you safe.
I will protect you.
Run your palms across the cheeks of the child.
You are now safe with me.
I will always,
Always be with you.
I will always and always be with you.
We will take care of ourselves together.
I love you.
I love you.
Now smile and open both your arms.
Nod with love so the child comes into your arms and hugs you.
You can hug yourself if you want to here.
Now hold the child with gentle love and feel that hug of love and trust.
Your inner child is healing every time you take this step.
I am going to hold space for you for this hug for a few seconds.
Lean into it.
Now visualize this child aspect dissolve into your heart center.
The healed child now is in you.
Bring your focus back to your breathing.
Become aware of the shape of your body.
Become aware of the sense of touch of the clothes on your skin.
Become aware of the space you are in.
Smile and whenever you are ready,
Gently,
Slowly open your eyes.
