The fundamental essence of our being is inseparable from the essence of the universe,
Which is the source from which we are all arising,
And therefore to gain an understanding of the true nature of reality we need to look inside and explore our own being.
It's impossible to gain direct knowledge of the universe or reality or the world around us because our perception of it is always limited by our senses.
Our understanding of the universe is always being influenced by the limitations of our senses,
So we really can't rely on them to give us a complete understanding.
We can,
However,
Gain direct knowledge of ourselves,
Which is why we look within,
Why self-knowledge is the gateway to understanding our true nature and nature of reality.
By gaining insight into the nature of our self,
We can gain a deeper understanding of the universe and our place within it.
Understanding this,
We're allowing ourselves to experience a greater sense of peace,
Love,
And fulfillment in life,
While bringing our awareness to the fact that we are part of the universe.
We are emerging from it,
Being sustained by it,
And will dissolve back into it upon death.
Allowing this knowing,
This awareness to sink in,
Feeling a sense of connection and oneness with the universe around us,
Recognizing that the essential nature of our self is identical to the nature of the universe from which we emerged.
We are a manifestation of the universe,
And it's through us that the universe experiences itself.
Taking a moment to feel this deep connection with the universe and allowing it to fill us with a sense of awe and wonder.
Touching and sensing into the profound truth of our interconnectedness with the universe.
When we do this,
We're focusing our attention inward,
Sensing into the vast and infinite universe with its galaxies and stars and planets,
Reflecting too that we are part of this cosmic dance.
Body and mind are made up of the same elements that make up the stars and the planets.
Our consciousness is connected to the universal consciousness that pervades all things.
Sensing into and feeling into this connection,
Interconnectedness with all things.
Allowing ourselves to feel a sense of wonder and awe as we sense into this deep connection.
Any thoughts or distractions that arise simply pass by without judgment or attachment.
Returning our attention to this felt sense,
Our deep connection with the universe and our place within it.
Knowing that in this moment we are not separate from the universe but an interconnected part of it.
You can sense into your breath and feel the flow of oxygen as you breathe in,
As you expel the air after you've extracted the oxygen.
It's interchanging with the universe.
There's a very obvious felt sense of connection.
This is also happening through the skin.
Sensing into the.
.
.
Knowing that we do not stop at the boundary of our skin but are interconnected.
One with the entire universe.
Recognizing that the more we understand our own nature,
The workings of our own mind,
The more we can understand reality and its nature.
We can begin to know our true nature by simply being present with ourselves.
Allowing ourselves to be fully present in this moment without any judgment or agenda,
Expectation.
Allowing our mind to be just as it is and simply observing the flow of thoughts and feelings and sensations as they arise and pass away.
Notice the nature of thoughts and emotions and sensations simply arising without our consent.
Our doing.
Really start to see the interdependent nature of our being and the entire universe.
You can also see the impermanent nature of our internal experience.
Where it's born,
It dies.
The thought arises,
It passes.
The sensation arises,
It passes.
Just like in the rest of the universe.
Deeply sensing into this interdependent and impermanent nature of our internal experience.
And knowing that is a doorway to the nature of reality,
Nature of the universe.
We become more and more present with ourselves.
We notice how our awareness begins to expand on the boundaries of an individual self or individual entity.
Noticing how our sense of separation and isolation begins to dissolve.
We begin to feel a sense of connection and oneness with everything around us.
Just continuing to rest in this state of presence,
Still awareness.
Allowing ourselves to be open to whatever insights may arise.
Remembering that the nature of reality cannot be understood through our senses.
Our senses are very limited.
Including the mind.
But it can be known through the direct observation.
Our experience,
Moment to moment.
By resting in the stillness and silence of our essential being.
And trusting that the universe will reveal its true nature to us.
In its own time and in its own way.
Resting in this state of being,
You may begin to consider the possibility that everything we know about the world,
Such as sights,
Sounds,
Tastes,
Textures,
Smells.
Added to this,
To its essential being or essential reality.
You can see that the world that we perceive is not separate from our own being.
It's a manifestation of the same essential reality.
With this realization,
The world becomes more vivid and alive.
We recognize that everything we experience is simply an expression of this underlying reality.
Resting in this knowing,
Letting it sink in.
Don't need to do anything or figure anything out.
Simply being,
Moment by moment.
Resting in our essential nature.
The only place where we can find lasting peace and happiness.
It's a place of rest and peace is always available to you.
Understanding that all the forms and names that we know in the world are just simply temporary appearances.
The still awareness,
Our true nature is always.
Each of us loves our own being.
I guess you could say our own being loves itself.
Why would we not love everyone and everything else whose nature is the same as our own being?
We only see the appearances.
We like some of the appearances and dislike others.
But if we see through the appearance,
See through the appearances to the reality,
Which is our reality,
Then we love it all equally.
Let me get back my picture.
