Attention is the basis of all higher cognitive and emotional abilities.
The key idea is to use some techniques to train your mind to pay attention,
To be less distracted and more clear.
Welcome to the Blossom Meditation.
I am your guide Suresh Srinivas.
Do you know that there is something right under your nose?
It's free of cost and it's a gift given to us.
It is your breath.
Since breathing is something we can control and regulate,
It is a valuable tool for achieving a clear and relaxed state of mind.
Let's get started with today's meditation.
Now imagine yourself in nature under a big tree.
Find a comfortable position either sitting or lying down and then you can gently start to close your eyes.
In this practice we are going to be watching your breath as it enters the body and following it all the way as it leaves the body.
Nothing to do,
Nowhere to go.
Watch the breath as it enters through the nose and be curious and see where it ends up and notice the pause before your exhale begins.
Just watch the breath as if it's your first breath.
I'll ring a bell at the close of the session.
Keep practicing and if your attention moves away from your breath,
Gently bring it back to your breath.
Congratulations on completing this meditation.
Isn't it amazing to be fully alive and breathing and being aware of each breath?
The breath is always available for you to focus your attention,
Be it before giving a presentation or starting a meeting or starting your day.
Keep breathing and I'll see you in the next meditation.
