This breath practice traditionally comes from Taoism and is designed to bring in the energy of protection and centering into your body. I speak to the cervix in this practice but can be focused on the energy of the perineum or in your root chakra. This is a great practice to also learn how to move sacral energy through your body and feel a free flow of energy in areas that are blocked on the microcosmic orbit.

Transcript

Begin by getting in a comfortable seated position with your spine straight.

And this practice will be done with a connected breath.

So no pause between the inhale and exhale.

So breathing in and out of your mouth.

Start bringing your awareness into your body and staying connected to your breath.

Inhale,

Exhale.

With no pause in between the inhale and exhale.

Feeling the ground beneath you.

Feeling the breath move in and out of your mouth.

Keeping your awareness with the breath.

Now bring your awareness with your breath to the area and the energy of your cervix.

Staying in and out of the energy in the area of your cervix.

Staying connected with your breath.

Really connecting with the energy of your cervix.

Breathing in and out,

In and out.

Really allowing the energy to build up in this area.

Feeling life.

Allowing fire to build,

Energy to build.

Keeping your jaw relaxed and your breath connected.

And with your awareness and your breath,

Begin to pull the energy from your cervix,

From the area of your cervix,

All the way up through your tailbone,

Up your spine,

To the back of your neck,

All the way up to the top of your head.

Exhaling back down the front of your body.

And returning all the way back to the area and the energy of your cervix.

And continuing on your next inhale,

Bringing the energy from your cervix all the way up the back of your body to the top of your head.

On the front of your body on your exhale.

Continuing this circular motion with your awareness and your breath,

Feeling the energy move up and down your body.

Feeling with your own rhythm,

Letting the energy move through your body.

Really feeling with your breath and your awareness the energy from your cervix,

Pulling it up the back of your body and down the front of your body.

Strengthening and protecting you on the inhale up the spine and relaxing and softening down the front of the body on the exhale.

Feeling this direction to bring protection into your body,

Allowing the energy of your cervix to fuel this protection.

Staying with your breath and your energy,

Circulating from your cervix all the way up your spine to the top of your head,

Back down the front of your body returning to your cervix.

Staying with a connected breath and keeping your jaw relaxed.

And on your next exhale,

Allowing the breath to come back to a relaxed breath.

So just breathing naturally,

Letting your body relax,

Feeling any sensations that arose,

Feeling what does your body feel like in this moment,

Allowing the energy to settle,

Integrate and relax into your body.
