Urgency often sneaks into the start of a new year, bringing pressure to decide, act, and change quickly. This poetic, body-led meditation invites you to step out of that pace and listen for the rhythm that feels true for you. Through gentle reflection and somatic awareness, you’ll explore how choosing a slower, steadier pace can support clarity, safety, and sustainable change.

Hi love,

I'm Teresa,

Welcome,

I'm really glad you're here.

Before we begin,

Take a slow breath and let your body arrive where you are.

There's nothing to fix in this moment.

Just let yourself be here and we'll begin together.

As a new year opens,

There's often an invisible pull toward urgency,

A feeling that time is already running,

That decisions should be made,

That movement should be obvious by now.

But your body may be telling a different story.

Take a breath and notice your internal rhythm.

Not the pace you've learned to keep for the world,

But the pace that feels honest inside you.

Some seasons ask for momentum,

Others ask for listening.

And this one may be asking you to move more slowly than you ever thought you were allowed to.

Let your breath soften.

Let the space between your thoughts widen.

There is a pace at which your nervous system feels safe,

A pace where creativity returns,

Where clarity emerges without being chased,

Where your next step doesn't feel like a demand,

But an invitation.

You are allowed to choose that pace.

Even if the world keeps rushing past.

Even if you've been praised before for moving faster.

Even if slowing down feels unfamiliar.

Slowness is not falling behind.

It is often how truth catches up to us.

Let yourself imagine a year shaped not by urgency,

But by steadiness.

Not by pressure,

But by presence.

Breathe that possibility into your body and let it settle where it needs to.

As you come back,

Notice how your body feels now.

If you'd like to continue,

You're welcome to explore my other meditations here.

Move gently.

Thank you for sharing this time with me.

And as you return to your day,

Remember as always,

You are loved.

You are whole.

You are enough.
