Close your eyes and get yourself into a comfortable position.
Begin to tune into just my voice.
Don't worry about forcing yourself to sleep or stressing about how long it takes.
Just enjoy this relaxed position.
Just begin to enjoy the warmth of your bed and just enjoy the freedom to just lay there and enjoy the session.
In a moment,
We are going to take five deep breaths together.
Each exhale is going to make you relax even deeper than you were before.
And after the fifth exhale,
Your body is going to be totally limp.
Let's do it together now.
Inhale and exhale,
Relax.
Inhale,
Exhale,
Relax even deeper.
Inhale,
Exhale,
Relax deeper still.
Inhale,
Exhale,
Relax even deeper.
Inhale and exhale,
Your body is totally relaxed.
Back to normal breathing now.
Just feeling your body totally limp,
Totally relaxed and you are totally content with nowhere to be and nothing to do.
From this calm and content space,
I want you to imagine in your mind's eye that you are standing in front of a set of stairs.
These stairs lead down to a door.
The stairs are covered with a soft,
Lush,
White carpet.
In a moment,
I'm going to count down from ten.
As I say each number,
I want you to imagine you are taking one step down and as you do,
You'll feel this luscious carpet underneath your feet.
And you'll feel yourself going down into a deeper state of relaxation.
Let's do that together now.
Ten,
You take your first step down.
Nine,
You proceed a little deeper.
Eight,
You notice the carpet on your feet.
Seven,
Enjoying this descent.
Six,
One more step into sleep.
Five,
Deeper and deeper still.
Four,
Feeling yourself given to relaxation.
Three,
Almost at the bottom.
Two,
Deeper still.
One,
The deepest step into sleep now.
Zero,
Fully relaxed.
As you arrive at the bottom of these stairs,
You see a room in front of you.
It's illuminated by gentle candlelight.
These candles are speckled across the outside of the room.
The room itself is decorated just the way you like it.
In the middle of the room is a gorgeous white bed.
It's adorned with your favorite type of pillows and blankets,
The way you like it.
This room is lit just the way you like it.
The way it's decorated is just the way you like it.
And this bed is here just for you,
Specifically designed to help you rest and sleep.
You look at this bed just for a moment,
And as you do,
You notice a pleasant drowsiness begin to take over your body and your mind as you enter into a dream state.
You slowly make your way toward that bed.
You feel the linen with your hand.
The texture is soft and inviting.
As you caress the linen,
The smell of the fresh washed fabric flows into the air.
You love the smell.
You slowly pull back the covers and enter this special bed of yours.
You climb in and pull the covers over you.
It's warm.
It's soft.
It's delicious.
The pillow is just the right height,
And it molds itself around your head.
You sigh out a big exhale and sink into your special bed.
It envelops you as if it's giving you a hug,
And you feel that drowsy feeling get stronger and stronger.
The candlelight in the room begins to dim all the way down until the room is completely dark.
As you lay there,
Full of this drowsiness,
In the most comfortable bed you've ever been in,
In the most beautiful room you've ever been in,
You begin to exhale deeply and breathe deeply.
In a moment,
I'm going to ask you to say the words sleep in your mind with each exhale,
And by the fifth time you do this with me,
You will have completely drifted off into sleep,
Out of consciousness,
And into the world of total relaxation.
