Get into a comfortable seated position,

Sitting with a straight spine.

Now close your eyes.

Start to take long,

Slow,

Deep breaths.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Picture yourself sitting by the beach.

You are surrounded by trees.

You hear the waves.

You can smell the ocean.

Both legs start to grow heavy,

Warm and soft.

Melting into the sand.

Relax your hips,

Buttocks and groin.

Relax the muscles in your stomach and chest.

Release all the weight you carry in your shoulders,

Giving yourself permission to let go completely.

And you start to notice all the weight falling off you.

The air around you is moist and warm.

You feel a pleasant cool breeze on your face.

Your jaw,

Cheeks,

Eyes,

Nose and ears start to relax as the breeze blows away all tension.

With each breath,

You relax just a bit more.

You begin to notice the rising sun and its vibrant colours.

You watch the leaves on the trees sway with the morning breeze.

And you feel the sensation of the breeze on your skin and through your hair.

You can smell the fresh morning air and a smile grows on your face.

You are warm and relaxed.

A sense of gratitude starts to grow in your heart.

You are grateful for what you have and you appreciate the challenges too because you know they will make you stronger.

Deep in your heart,

You know you are exactly where you are meant to be.

Start to make a mental note of three things in this moment that you are grateful for.

As you breathe,

Allow yourself to really connect to the feeling of gratitude,

Letting it wash all over you.

From the top of your head to the tips of your toes.

The golden sky has now turned blue.

Your heart is warm and full of gratitude.

Start to wiggle your fingers and toes and slowly open your eyes.

Take your notebook and write down the three things that you are grateful for.

I hope you bring this sense of calm and gratitude into the rest of your day.
