Hello and welcome back to the 20 day meditation challenge.
Today we are on day 8.
Yesterday we did a lot of heavy lifting around limiting beliefs we picked up as a child.
I hope you had some time to journal and explore what came up for you.
And we crafted a positive statement.
A statement that would replace that limiting belief so we can help our minds rewire that negative limiting belief with a positive one.
If you were unable to come up with a limiting belief,
That is ok.
We are going to step into day 8 with calling in the new belief we wish to cultivate.
This is either a positive belief from the negative one we explored yesterday,
And if you did not find one,
Take a moment now to set a positive statement you would like to carry forward into this year.
And when you are ready and you have that belief,
Go ahead and set up your space,
Pause the recording so you can find a moment to get settled,
Close the door,
Set up the room to your liking,
And when you are ready,
We'll begin.
So taking a moment to just close the physical eyes,
And bring your awareness into the body.
Scan the body and notice anywhere there is some tension,
Some tightness,
Some resistance.
If you come across those areas,
Begin to just shake them out,
Perhaps rocking the hips,
Wiggling the shoulders,
Shaking out the hands,
The feet.
And take a moment to shake any of the tightness,
The tension,
The resistance out of the body,
And then slowing down that movement by 50%,
And slowing it down even more,
And bringing the body into complete stillness.
And with your next inhale,
I want you to tense and tighten all the muscles in the body.
Breathe in and squeeze,
Tighten,
Flex all the muscles,
And with an audible exhale,
Soften,
Sigh,
Let it go.
And now bring to mind the positive statement you wish to bring into this here.
And then visualize yourself sitting at a table in nature.
In front of you is an empty piece of paper,
And a pen in your hand.
See yourself writing down this positive statement over and over again on the piece of paper.
See the statement in your own handwriting,
Filling the piece of paper completely.
And once that piece of paper is full of your positive statement,
You begin to roll it up.
You walk over to a fire.
In the fire hangs a cast iron bowl.
You light the piece of paper on fire and place it into the bowl.
As the fire burns,
The paper becoming ash,
You feel a sense of freedom as you watch this new statement be released to the universe.
Once your paper is fully dissolved,
You carefully take the bowl away from the fire.
You pour your ash into a jar,
Placing the cast iron bowl somewhere safe.
And you take the glass of your ashes of the new belief,
Walking over to a stream off in the distance.
You stand over the stream,
And you place your left hand on your heart.
You repeat your new belief to yourself three times.
And when you're complete,
You dump the ashes of your beliefs into the creek,
Allowing water to carry it down to the vast ocean.
You sit down at the water,
And you place your hands on your thighs.
And you begin to tap left,
Right,
Left,
Right,
Left,
Right on your thighs.
Your fingertips tapping left,
Right,
Left,
Right.
And as you tap,
You repeat your new belief to yourself over and over.
And you release the belief,
And you continue tapping.
And you bring the new belief back into your mind,
Repeating it to yourself again.
Continuing to tap left,
Right,
Left,
Right.
And then you take your hands over your heart space.
Take a deep breath in.
Deep breath out.
Bringing your awareness back to your physical body.
Allowing this new belief to be rooted in your mind.
And coming up when you're ready.
