Hi,

Welcome to this meditation on worthiness and finding worthiness within yourself.

Start by finding a comfortable place to sit,

Or you can lie down if that's more comfortable for you.

Once you're in a comfortable spot,

Close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in and breathe out.

Let's take a moment to connect to your body.

Notice any sensations from head to toe,

Any tension,

Temperature,

Any other feelings throughout your body.

And breathe in as you notice what's happening in your body.

If you can,

Let go of any tension you have in your body,

Maybe some tightness in your neck or in your back.

Notice if you're clenching your hands or jaw or anything like that.

Release any of that tension.

Take a deep breath in and breathe out.

Let's do a few more rounds of breath in and out.

Last one in and breathe out.

Continue breathing as we continue.

I want to talk a little bit about worthiness and what that means.

First,

I'll ask the question,

What makes you worthy?

Notice whatever comes up for you,

What comes to mind,

Any emotions that you feel.

Just take a moment to recognize those things without any judgment.

What makes you worthy?

Maybe some fear came up for you,

Some judgment or anxiety.

Maybe you thought about achievement or your strength,

Productivity,

Recognition,

Appearance,

Beauty.

You might associate those things with worthiness.

Maybe we use those things to try to prove to ourselves or to other people that we are worthy.

Take a breath and think about what it is that worthiness means to you.

Do you try to prove your worthiness to yourself or to anybody else?

How do you do that?

Does it work?

Is trying to prove your worthiness work?

Does it make you believe that you are worthy?

Maybe temporarily,

But maybe it doesn't last or something else comes along that requires you to prove yourself again.

What if our worthiness is innate?

It's within us regardless of what we do or anything we try to do.

What if it doesn't matter what we look like or what our bodies are capable of or what we achieve in our work?

What if we already are worthy?

Repeat this to yourself either out loud or in your mind.

What if my worthiness is innate?

I already am worthy.

I am a human.

I am worthy.

I don't need to do anything or look any different than how I am right now in order to be worthy.

I already am worthy because I am alive.

I already am worthy because I am alive.

Notice what emotions you feel.

What does saying those things or thinking those things stir up for you?

Maybe it's really uncomfortable.

But just imagine believing I am worthy because I am alive.

I can trust myself.

I can rest in holding myself as a worthy human.

Imagine believing those things as complete truth.

Now as you come back to your breath,

Come back to your body,

Notice what's happening inside you.

What's happening in your body.

How can you take this freedom and trust and belief in your worthiness?

How can you take that with you?

Take a breath in and out and in and out.

I am worthy because I am alive.

Take that with you today because it's true and you deserve to believe that about yourself.
