Welcome to your meditation for self-love.
When we produce love and gratitude for ourselves,
We are able to strengthen our roots,
Thus allowing ourselves to be able to give more,
Serve more,
And become more for others around us and our external surroundings.
I invite you to find a comfortable position as you soften into whatever position you've chosen,
Whether that be sitting crossed-legged,
Whether that be lying,
Whether that be sitting on a chair.
Start to close your eyes or lower your gaze,
Noticing where your skin touches the bed or the floor or whatever point of contact is beneath you.
Notice the sensations you feel,
The tightness or tension you feel in your muscles,
The constriction or gripping you may be feeling.
As your body starts to soften and the muscles start to relax,
Start to bring awareness into your breath.
Deep,
Full,
Long inhales in and as you exhale,
Breathe it all out.
Continuing with this pattern,
Breathing normally and naturally as your breath slows and deepens,
Take a moment to notice the pattern of your breath shifting,
Shifting into a calmer state,
Shifting into more of a flow.
As you do this,
Start to notice the beating of your heart.
Self-love starts at the root of your heart.
When we give ourselves love,
Then we can give love to others and it's when we really start to tune into ourselves that we start to realize that the root of love is from us.
Notice any feeling you have around your chest,
The feeling you have around your breath.
The anahata chakra,
Also known as the heart chakra,
Resides here and it's this energetic frequency that we hold in our hearts that allows the expansive energy of love to flourish and flow.
Allow there to be space,
Abundance and openness.
The next few minutes are for you to breathe and to bask in this energy of showing yourself love.
I know it may feel foreign,
It may feel like something you're not really used to but I encourage you to feel into this energy and know that you can come back to this feeling at any time of the day.
When you are ready,
Slowly flicker open your eyes.
We have come to the end of our practice and when you are ready,
Bring movement into your fingertips,
Into your toes and slowly allow yourself to assimilate into your environment and take this feeling with you for the rest of your day.
