Welcome to this short yoga nidra practice designed specifically to recharge and restore your energy in just 10 minutes.
You can use this anytime you need a boost of energy during your day.
My name is Wendy and I'm honored to be your guide today.
Welcome.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position.
Either lying down or sitting in a chair.
Work beautifully.
Either way,
Ensuring your spine is straight and supported.
Shifting and settling in so you're completely at ease.
Gently close your eyes and begin to turn your attention inward.
Allow your body to soften and release.
Letting go of whatever has transpired so far today.
For the next 10 minutes or so,
There's nowhere to go and nothing to do except listen to me.
Listen to my voice and rest.
Let's start by taking a deep breath in through your nose.
And then releasing that breath with a nice easy exhale.
Your exhale signals to your nervous system that it's safe to rest.
Focusing on your breath now.
And focusing on going within.
And coming into complete and total relaxation.
Each breath you take allows you to settle in deeper for this brief time of rest.
Let's take a gentle journey through the body.
Beginning at the top of your head.
Moving down to the center of your forehead.
Feeling your forehead softening.
And then becoming aware of your eyes,
Your cheeks,
And your jaw.
All are releasing.
Your entire face is softening.
Next bring your awareness to your throat and to your neck.
Feel your shoulders softening and melting down away from your ears.
And then moving to your heart space.
That peaceful space in the middle of your chest.
And then bringing your awareness to the right side of your body.
Your right shoulder.
Right elbow.
Wrist.
Palm of your right hand.
All five fingers of your right hand.
Moving your awareness next to the left side of your body.
Your left shoulder.
Left elbow.
The palm of your left hand.
And all five fingers of your left hand.
Now bring your attention to your hips.
Allowing both hips to release.
Both knees are softening.
Both ankles.
The soles of your feet.
And all ten toes.
All are softening and releasing.
Sense your entire body from head to toe.
Completely supported.
Completely relaxed.
And now noticing the natural rhythm of your breath.
With each inhale,
Imagine breathing in fresh,
Revitalizing energy.
This fresh energy is restoring you and preparing you for the rest of your day.
Continue to focus on the natural rhythm of your breath.
Inhaling clean,
Fresh energy.
And exhaling,
Releasing what no longer serves you.
Rest here now and absorb the peaceful energy and the benefits of this brief practice.
And now it's time to start inviting some gentle movements back into your body.
Softly wiggling your fingers and your toes.
Rotating your wrists and your ankles.
Whatever peace and renewed energy you've cultivated in this brief time of rest,
Know that you can return to this sense of peaceful energy whenever you'd like.
May the rest of your day unfold with joy,
Ease,
And grace.
Until we meet again next time,
Namaste.
