Welcome to this guided meditation on the Swaristhana Chakra,
The Sacral Chakra.
Please take a really comfortable position.
You might lie down,
You might sit up,
Either as long as you're very comfortable.
You can have your eyes open,
You can have your eyes closed and you can open and close your eyes whenever you like.
Take another moment and make yourself as comfortable as you possibly can,
Feeling as supported as you possibly can.
And gently bring your awareness to your breath,
Your natural breath.
There's no need to try to breathe in any particular way.
Gently noticing your natural breath in and your natural breath out.
Allowing your natural breath to become very smooth,
Very relaxed.
Knowing that you're in control and you can move whenever and however you'd like.
Allowing your smooth and natural breath to help you feel a little more calm,
Centered,
Even relaxed.
And you could bring your awareness now to Swaristhana Chakra.
It's located around the sacral area,
Around lower back,
Pelvis,
Abdominal area and hips.
About six centimeters down from the navel and deep inside.
Taking a few moments just to notice anything you notice around that area.
Feeling anything you might feel around that area.
Around the abdominal organs,
The lower back,
Pelvis or hips.
And as you maintain your awareness at this chakra,
Bring your attention back to your breath.
So now you're keeping your awareness on pelvis,
Lower back,
Hips and your attention is very gently on your breathing.
When your mind wanders,
Bring your attention very gently back to the breath and back to this chakra.
If you find it's easier to maintain your attention either on your breath or the chakra,
You can choose one and allow your attention to settle there.
You could bring to mind the color orange.
Sensing the color in any way you wish.
Perhaps imagining the color of an orange or an orange flower,
The orange color in a sunset and in your mind's eye,
Allow the orange image to become an orange liquid or an orange light or an orange mist.
And imagine this orange within and all around this area.
Sensing a cleansing orange liquid light or healing mist all around the hips,
Pelvis,
Lower back.
This chakra represents your right and your responsibility to feel,
Your right to want and the right to nurture yourself in response to your personal human needs.
Resolving and letting go of guilt is healthy and it's one of the lessons of this chakra.
To help you integrate these lessons into your whole being,
You could repeat the following statements either out loud or silently.
I have the right to feel.
I have the right to self-satisfaction.
I have the right to respond to my own needs.
I have the right to feel.
I have the right to self-satisfaction.
I have the right to respond to my own needs.
Notice what happens when you say these statements to yourself.
How do you react to these basic rights?
I have the right to feel.
I have the right to self-satisfaction.
I have the right to respond to my own needs.
You might also say silently or out loud.
I release and let go of guilt.
I feel pleasure in healthy ways.
I am creative.
I am passionate.
The next part of the meditation involves the use of sound and the sound of this chakra is vam.
Vam.
By chanting the sound of vam you can send a healing vibration to strengthen and balance this chakra.
When you chant the mantra vam you can do it either out loud or silently.
You could take a breath in and then as you exhale you repeat vam.
Vam.
Vam.
Vam.
Vam.
You can continue to do this breathing in and on every exhale vam.
Vam.
Vam.
Vam.
Keeping your awareness focused around lower back,
Pelvis and hips.
You might even start to feel the sound of vam vibrating around this area.
Vam.
Vam.
Vam.
And when you stop chanting vam keep your awareness around lower back,
Belly and hips and notice any sensation around this area.
Now take some time on your own to focus on either the location,
The colour,
The affirmations or the mantra vam.
Simply follow your own inclination.
You could focus on any sensations around pelvis,
Hips,
Lower back or the colour orange.
The affirmation I am creative or I'm passionate.
Perhaps you'd feel most at ease continuing to chant vam.
Following your own intuition for a few moments.
And as we begin to transition back you could notice your natural breath again.
Perhaps notice the surface supporting you.
Allowing your ears to hear a little more.
Perhaps even opening or closing eyes a few times.
And when you feel ready introduce a little movement.
It could just be fingers,
Toes and beginning to move in a way that feels comfortable and right for you.
Becoming a little more aware,
A little more awake.
And thank you for joining me for this meditation on the Svadisthana chakra.
