You close your eyes,
You start to observe the breath,
You start to feel stillness growing in the mind.
You realize that by focusing your awareness on your breathing,
The stillness in the mind grows more and more.
Watch each in breath,
Watch each out breath.
You continue to become aware of stillness in the breathing.
You breathe in,
You breathe out.
You realize a sense of peace that enters within you when you observe the breathing.
And you just continue to watch the breath entering,
The breath leaving.
Allowing the thoughts to fade away,
Realizing how they are not important.
Just letting them pass by.
Focusing on each in breath.
Focusing on each out breath.
Enjoying the stillness here.
Observe the breath enter.
You observe the breath leaving.
And the stillness in the mind grows more and more.
Realize that thoughts can just bring stress or confusion,
But they don't bring peace or stillness.
By allowing yourself to go beyond the thoughts,
By focusing simply on the breath,
You can bring stillness deep within.
As you continue focusing on the breathing,
Just in your mind's eye.
You see an ancient sage with a look of stillness in his face.
He tells you that true happiness can only ever come from being present,
From being in the present moment in time.
He tells you that it's good to remember the past,
But if we dwell on the past too much it can bring sadness.
He tells you it's good to plan for the future,
But if we dwell on the future too much we allow for anxiety to creep in.
The only place where true happiness is to be found is in this present moment in time.
And the sage tells you that every time you want to become present,
Every time you want to become still,
Observe the breath.
Because you're always breathing in the present moment in time.
Breath will always be your anchor to keep you present.
He asks you to notice how by dwelling on the future too much,
Anxiety takes over.
And that what we truly want is to be peaceful and still and happy within.
So we plan for the future and then let go of the plans,
Seeing what the universe holds.
Knowing there's a path that will unfold,
We can move in that direction,
But we have to trust in the universe and its plans.
When goals become set in stone,
He tells you there can never be true happiness,
Only tension and anxiety.
If we move according to our plans,
Seeing what the universe brings,
But adapting to the plans of the universe,
We'll always be at peace.
But if we can let go of goals one by one,
We can feel the stillness and the peace that comes from being present.
So we can plan,
Be adaptable,
Have faith in the plans of the universe,
Work with the plans of the universe.
But at the end of the day,
Not be stuck on goals that make us tense,
Full of anxiety,
We let go one by one of all of our goals.
The sage asks you to imagine that in your hand you hold a bag of pebbles and each one,
Each pebble represents a goal that you set in your mind.
And he asks you one by one to let go of every goal you've ever created,
Each and every goal so that you can feel the peace and the stillness of the present moment.
You imagine the bag of pebbles in your palm,
You take the pebbles one by one,
From inside the bag from inside your palm,
And you see how each pebble is representing one goal that you hold.
One by one you let go of every pebble,
Every goal that's ever been held inside you so you can be free to move with the plans of the universe,
To have your intentions as well,
And move towards them when the universe wants you to.
But letting go of fixed goals,
Just seeing where the universe takes you,
Knowing you can have an intention to move towards,
But accepting that the universe too has its way and that you want to work in harmony with the universe.
Continue to throw away the pebbles from the palm of your hand,
You continue to throw away the goals.
As you do peace and stillness find you deep within.
You feel peace,
You feel stillness,
You continue letting go of the pebbles,
Letting go of the goals until no goal remains,
Until you feel nothing but peace,
Nothing but stillness within.
You connect to this peace,
To this stillness,
Knowing that it's your original true nature.
Seeing the sage,
Seeing the peace within him,
Seeing how there's nothing but stillness within him,
But he lives only in this moment in time,
Enjoying everything that life has to offer in this moment in time.
See he has no goals,
He tells you that he lives according to a principle called wu-wei,
Not interfering with the plans of the universe,
Working in harmony with the plans of the universe,
And his own unfolding towards stillness happens because of this.
You start to feel stillness rising up within you as you look closer into his eyes,
You realize that this sage that represents peace,
That represents the knowledge of being still at one with the universe,
Being present,
Spending your life enjoying each and every moment in the present.
This sage who represents all of this,
Represents the wisdom within you,
As you look into his eyes you see your own eyes,
You see an image of him deep within your heart,
You realize this sage is part of you,
Represents the wisdom within you,
That this knowledge of being present,
Of letting go of goals,
Of moving with the plans of the universe,
This knowledge lies deep inside you,
You realize to trust yourself that this ancient wisdom,
This ancient sage is part of you,
Part of your own DNA,
Part of the energy,
The positive energy that created the universe.
You see and feel the sage,
His wisdom,
His stillness inside you,
Part of you,
The essence of who you are,
You realize that the intelligence that created the universe is deep inside you,
The stillness that created the universe is deep within you and it teaches you to let go of goals,
To just be present and to spend eternity enjoying the present moment in time,
To never have any fixed goals,
To always let them go when they appear and to simply trust in the universe,
To keep your peace deep within.
Feel stillness within,
Feel the goals being removed,
You feel yourself being happy and still forever in the present moment in time and as you feel this stillness and you allow it to grow within,
You remind yourself that if at any moment in time you want to be present,
You only ever have to rub both palms,
Close your eyes and let go of all of your goals.
You slowly open both eyes,
Just getting them used to the light once more,
Remembering how it feels to let go of goals,
To just be at one with the present moment,
Accepting everything that's happening,
Not trying to fight it in any way,
Just being present,
Being still,
Accepting,
Enjoying the present moment in time.
