Let's take a moment to arrive.
Go ahead and sit up comfortably,
Feet grounded on the earth,
Spine long but relaxed,
Hands resting wherever they feel at ease.
Let your eyes gently close or just soften your gaze.
And without changing anything yet,
Just notice your breath.
Notice your body.
Notice the quality of your mind.
Now deepen your next inhale and exhale slowly.
We'll begin with three rounds of four,
Four,
Eight,
Breathing.
You inhale through the nose for four,
Hold for four,
Exhale out the mouth for eight.
Let's exhale out all of your still air,
Let it go.
Begin with an inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight.
Last one,
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four,
And exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight.
Now just come back to your breath,
Your unique breath.
And let each exhale soften the edges of your mind.
Now begin to bring awareness to the places that hold the most tension in your body.
For many of us,
It's the jaw,
It's the neck,
It's the shoulders,
The chest.
So as you breathe,
Imagine these areas softening by even five percent,
Just five percent more ease.
Let the jaw unclench,
Let the shoulders fall away from the ears.
Let your breath widen the space across your chest.
It's almost like you're allowing your collarbone to smile forward.
And if your mind tries to speed ahead,
Just come back,
Come back to the exhale.
That's where the release happens.
Your exhale is your power.
Now imagine that your awareness is settling downward through the skull,
Through the spine,
The tailbone,
The hips,
The knees,
All the way through the soles of your feet.
Get out of the head,
Get into the body,
Into this moment,
The only moment we truly ever have.
Feel the support beneath you.
Feel your feet anchoring into the floor.
Notice gravity holding you.
There's nowhere to get to.
There's nothing to solve.
There's no role to play.
For this moment,
You get to be a human being,
Not a human doing.
Be here.
Allow your breath to be the only thing happening.
Each inhale,
Clarity.
Each exhale,
Release.
Settling deeper into the now.
Now invite just a little more spaciousness into your world,
Into your inner world.
Imagine you've stepped out of this mental overdrive,
Off the hamster wheel,
Out of the noise,
Into a wide open field of presence.
Here,
There is room to breathe.
There is room to see clearly,
Room to hear yourself.
Let your nervous system downshift.
Let your mind loosen its grip.
Let your body rest.
Let it marinate in this moment.
Peace does not require effort.
I'll repeat.
Peace does not require effort.
Instead,
It simply requires a steady,
Focused sense of intentional presence,
A willingness to be with whatever comes up.
Take one final,
Deep inhale.
Fill all the way to the top.
Take another sip of breath in.
Slow exhale,
Letting go of anything that doesn't belong in this space,
In this moment.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
You're here,
Present,
Clear,
Grounded,
Ready for the work.
Namaste,
Friends.
