This practice will center you in a calm and still place in the moments before your procedure. We will breathe out unwanted "junk" and we will explore mantras so you can go into this procedure in a state of calm, peace, and release. This track is intended for anyone going into a procedure TODAY. If you are still weeks, months, or days out from your procedure, I encourage you to find my track titled "Preoperative Intention Setting" and listen to it weekly or daily leading up to your procedure. Then, when the day arrives, come back to this track, which is designed to release anxieties and fears and bring a sense of stillness and calm immediately before your procedure.

Welcome to today's meditation.

Today is the day.

You may even be on the bed or table right now,

Maybe even surrounded by your trusted medical team.

As you lay here ready to go into your procedure,

We are going to release thoughts of anxiety,

Fear,

Hopelessness,

Anger,

Thoughts of the unknown,

Anything that's lingering inside of you,

Preventing you from going into this procedure with a sense of peace and calmness.

If you were with me on the previous track,

You may have been listening to the preoperative exercise in the weeks or days or even months leading up to this moment.

So now is the time to take a short meditation to yourself to bring yourself peace and calming in the moments or hours right before you go in for your procedure.

So if you're still days or weeks out from whatever you have going on,

I would encourage you to click this track off and go find my other track which will help you mentally prepare for the actual day of your procedure in the days,

Months,

Weeks leading up to it.

But if you are going into your procedure today or right now,

You have landed in the right spot.

So calm your mind.

Take a few deep breaths with me.

We're going to breathe in and breathe out.

Another breath in and all the way out.

And on this last breath,

I want you to hold it at the top for a couple of seconds.

While you're holding the breath at the top,

Gather up all of your fears,

Your anxiety,

Anger,

Hopelessness,

Thoughts of the unknown,

Whatever's going on inside of you.

At the top of this last breath,

I want you to gather it up like you're scrunching up a piece of paper that you're about to throw in the wastebasket.

And when we do our last release of the breath,

Just let it all go.

Throw that piece of paper right into the trash.

Let all of these disturbing emotions,

Meaning emotions that are disturbing your peace and calm,

Let them flow out of you with your breath.

Just breathe them out.

So here we go.

We're going to do one more deep breath to center ourselves.

We're going to hold it at the top for a count of three,

And then we're just going to release.

Here we go.

Breathe in.

Hold one,

Two,

Three,

Release.

Great.

Actually,

Let's do that one more time.

Let's do it one more time.

Anything residual that's inside of you that you don't want to be there during this procedure,

This is your time to release it.

You have the power to do that.

You have the power within yourself to gather these things up,

Scrunch them up into a tiny ball,

And just release them with your breath.

So let's do that one more time.

Ready?

Breathe in.

Hold two,

Three,

And release.

And there it goes.

And everything is out of you now.

Now all that's left for you to do is to just come back to your breath and to center yourself,

To still your mind,

And to just be.

As we lay here with no other expectations other than just to be,

As we lay here with no other burdens,

No other responsibilities in this moment except to just be,

I'm gonna read some some mantras for you.

And if it feels like too much to repeat them right now,

That's okay.

Right now,

That's okay.

Just let them wash over you.

If you'd like to repeat them to yourself or out loud,

I invite you to do that.

But if that's too much for you right now,

Or if that's just not speaking to you in this moment,

As best as you can,

I invite you to just let these words wash over you while you lie there just being in this moment.

I am safe.

I am calm.

I am at peace.

I have everything I need in this moment.

I am loved.

I am capable.

I am grateful.

I am everything I need to be in this moment.

I trust.

I let go.

I can handle whatever comes my way.

I am safe.

I am calm.

I am at peace.

I have everything I need in this moment.

I am safe.

I am calm.

I am at peace.

I release my thoughts.

I release thoughts that do not serve me.

I trust my body.

I am safe.

I am calm.

I am at peace.

I have everything I need in this moment.

I invite you to repeat any of those mantras that really spoke to you.

I'm going to give you a moment to do that right now.

And if it speaks to you to just lie there and listen to the backing track and just be in this moment then I invite you to do that instead of repeating the mantras.

Let's take a moment here.

I hope you're in a place of calmness,

A place of peace,

A place of confidence.

I'm going to end this meditation differently than I would end my other meditations.

Because I want to leave you in this very relaxed,

Peaceful state.

So stay with your breath.

And just know that you are loved.

You are strong.

You are safe.

You are capable.

You are at peace.

You have everything you need in this moment.

You can let go.

You can trust.

You can handle whatever comes your way.

And you are everything you need to be in this moment.

In this moment.

I am sending you so much light and so much love.

May God bless you and keep you.
