Hello,

I'm Barbara from Simply Harmony Coaching,

And I invite you to join me in this gentle gratitude practice,

Episode 2.

You are welcome to return to this practice daily for 21 days to bolster your feelings of appreciation for your life.

In the midst of busy days,

Sometimes what we need most is a pause,

A moment to breathe,

Reflect,

And reconnect with what truly matters.

Of many tools available to us,

Gratitude is a powerful one that shifts our perspective and helps us to cultivate resilience to navigate the rough spots of life.

With it,

We can counter stress and invite in more peace and calm,

Even on the most challenging days.

When we notice the good things and experiences in our lives,

We reconnect with true joy and harmony,

And we attract more of that into our lives.

I came to this realization for myself as I was journeying through a major health issue and treatment.

When there were dark moments,

I found that if I moved into a gratitude mode,

It would counteract fear,

Pain,

And other difficult emotions.

It became clear that gratitude,

Even for the simple good things like bird singing or raindrops or flowers,

Would override the other stuff every time.

It's how I got through tough times,

And perhaps it can help you too.

Let's focus now on what we can be grateful for.

Find a quiet spot where you can sit comfortably.

Let your feet rest flat on the floor and feel the soft support of the surface beneath you.

Take a slow,

Deep breath in.

Hold it for a moment,

Then exhale slowly.

Repeat this for two more cycles,

Letting your body settle and your mind begin to quiet.

Notice the weight of your body,

The connection of your feet to the earth,

And the gentle support along your back.

With each breath,

Allow yourself to become more present,

Letting any tension melt away.

When you're ready,

Close your eyes and let these words to the universe or higher power resonate within you.

Let each statement fill you with warmth and appreciation.

Sit for a few moments with this feeling,

Letting gratitude expand within your heart.

Thank you for a safe and comfortable place to live.

Thank you for access to fresh,

Nourishing foods and clean water.

Thank you for family and friends who offer love and support in my life.

Thank you for the music that soothes my mind and moves my heart.

Thank you for the opportunities that allow me to grow and evolve.

Thank you for the moments of peace that calm my inner turbulence.

Thank you for the love I have received and the love I am able to give.

Thank you for my health,

Even if imperfect at this moment,

And for the resilience and flexibility of my body.

Thank you for meaningful work and purposeful activities.

Thank you for the beauty of nature and its calming influence.

Thank you for the good in my life right now and for all the good that is coming.

Thank you for kindness received from others and the chance to offer it in return.

Thank you for wonderful moments of laughter and joy.

Now take another deep breath in,

Feeling the air nourish your lungs.

As you exhale,

Imagine yourself sitting under the sheltering canopy of a majestic oak tree.

You notice sun beams of light filtering through its leaves and dancing and changing patterns across your skin.

The leaves rustle with a slight breeze and sounds of birds chirping and insects buzzing create a serene setting.

The oak tree seems to offer comfort and wisdom,

And in this moment you have all you need and all you desire.

The earth beneath you and the oak tree seem to harmonize to ground you in peace and stillness.

You now notice that golden orbs of gratitude are drifting gently down from the oak tree's branches,

Each representing people,

Experiences,

And moments you have appreciated.

They encircle you in a lightness and joy.

Allow this sensation to expand within you,

As if every body cell and even your soul is being revitalized by the lightness of appreciation and gratitude.

You are reminded of your deep connection to the blessings in your life.

Allow this visualization to anchor your sense of thankfulness,

Leaving you feeling refreshed,

Uplifted,

And ready to share your gratitude with the world around you.

When you're ready,

Gently wiggle your fingers and toes,

Slowly returning to the present moment.

Open your eyes and carry this feeling of contentment and appreciation with you,

Sharing it with those around you.
