Welcome.

Find a comfortable seat or lie down if that's easier.

Take a slow breath in through the nose and exhale gently through the mouth.

Feel the weight of your body supported by the ground beneath you.

Notice that even before you begin,

This breath,

This support,

This awareness are already gifts.

Let the breath move naturally.

Each inhale drawing in aliveness,

Each exhale releasing effort.

There's no need to achieve anything,

Only to recognize what's already here.

Notice the simple details of this moment,

The air against the skin,

The rhythm of your heartbeat.

The quiet hum of life around you.

Gratitude begins not in thought but in noticing.

Now bring to mind something you often overlook,

Perhaps the steadiness of your breath,

A friend or stranger who showed you kindness,

A small moment that brought light into an ordinary day.

See if you can feel gratitude in the body,

A warmth in the chest,

A loosening in the shoulders,

A quiet sense of sufficiency.

You don't have to force anything.

Even the intention to be grateful is enough.

Let gratitude widen to the people who help sustain your life.

Those who grow your food,

Maintain the streets,

Carry out unseen work,

Let their effort touch you for a moment.

You are part of an invisible web of giving and receiving.

Now expand further to the earth itself,

The warmth of the sun,

The rain,

The air that moves through you.

Sense that life itself is offering itself to you in every breath.

Now rest in this simple recognition that nothing needs to be added to this moment for it to be complete.

Gratitude is not a reaction,

It's a way of seeing.

Let the breath flow in gratitude and out in release.

In this stillness,

Everything you need is already here.

Take one slow,

Deep breath in and a long,

Gentle breath out.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes.

Carry this awareness forward,

Not as a thought,

But as a way of meeting the next moment.
