Welcome to Be With Melinda,
A place for soul restoration and healing on all levels.
The level we're working on today is called Ruach.
This meditation is called Rooted in Shekhinah,
Breath of Compassion.
Find a comfortable position,
Seated or lying down.
Feel the ground beneath you,
Malchut,
The holy foundation that holds the body and makes space for spirit to flow.
Close your eyes and notice your breath.
In Hebrew,
There are two levels of the soul whose names connect to breath.
Nishamah is the divine breath,
The awareness and higher mind breathed into you by the Holy One.
But Ruach is the wind of the soul,
The movement of life force through your heart,
Emotions and moral center.
When you breathe here in Ruach,
You breathe in a way that moves feeling,
Balances emotion and restores harmony.
Inhale slowly,
Letting breath fill the belly,
The chest,
The crown of the head.
Exhale,
Letting it pour through the arms,
Hands,
Legs and feet.
With each breath,
Allow this wind to move deeper into every cell,
Awakening,
Softening,
Healing,
Balancing.
Your heart is the sanctuary of Ruach,
Resting between Chesed,
Boundless loving-kindness and Gevurah,
Sacred strength.
To your right,
Chesed is expansive love,
Rests at the right side of your chest,
Following down your right arm.
To your left,
Gevurah,
Sacred strength,
Rests at the left side of your chest,
Flowing down the left arm.
Between them,
In the center of your heart is Tiferet,
Beauty,
Harmony and balance.
This is the dwelling place of your Ruach,
Where love and strength meet in perfect measure.
In the stillness between breaths,
Shekhinah moves like a gentle breeze through your inner sanctuary.
She reminds you,
Your feelings are holy messengers.
Do not lock them away.
Do not silence them.
Let the Ruach carry them,
Every joy,
Every sorrow.
Carry them into the open air of divine compassion.
Silently or aloud,
Repeat after me.
Ruach within me,
Breathe through my heart.
Let Chesed and Gevurah meet in harmony.
May Shekhinah move through every breath I take.
Begin to deepen your breathing,
Feeling Ruach flowing through your entire being.
Bring awareness to your hands,
Your feet,
Your breath.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
You have returned to Tiferet,
The heart's harmony,
Carrying the breath of compassion into the world.
May your Ruach be steady,
Your heart be open,
And your breath be a blessing to all who encounter you.
The holy foundation that holds.
Amen.
